Digital cosmetics..?
some call it Digital Cosmetics, others call it Digital Lifting.. yet i don't know if there is a proper name for this operation.
many photos i have seen over the web has been photoshop'ed and are clearer/brighter/smoother than the original picture. i'm trying to learn the teq. on how to do this, but still unlucky. i don't know if any of you guys know how to do such thing.
Pic1.jpg is a stock photo i found over the web while searching. Pic2.jpg is what i can do so far.
tips/hints/suggestions/comments are all welcome.
thanks

not sure exactly what you mean, but I think the second picture is completely oversaturated.
If you are wanting to do what I think you are, then play with the Hue, Brightness and Contrast sliders, as well as the Despeckle and Dust & Scratches filters (under Noise) and the Sharpen and Unsharp Mask filters (under Sharpen). That should put you at a good starting point.
If you are wanting to do all-out photo retouching, that's a bit different. I'm in the middle of retouching some images for this girl right now; still have to do some color work to the face, fix the *****, smooth out the swimsuit top and lessen the background a bit. But, mostly done.
EDIT: eh, semi-NWS for some, so here's a link instead. It's a chick in a swimsuit.
