nice ride!! I have been thinking about switching over to a STI (would make more sense at this point in my life). I hate the new look though, so may have to pick up a used one. Any thoughts Z vs STI?

 

LOL it's perfect I gotta kid on the way and this is great for my Prego wife and our baby on the way, But as far as the 2 cars...., they are so different I wouldn't even know where to start, Obviously AWD and a Stock Turbo is a great thing, kiss drifting goodbye on Curvy roads, but say hello to curvy roads on a rainy day taking a sharp turn at 55 LOL! I miss the Z because of the looks, but the over all car expierence.:The Sti FOR THE WIN!!!!, that offcourse is my opinion.

I'm sucha Loser I want to do the same and buy a Civic/Beater but thats becuase I wanna baby this thing and Going Stage 2 Soon (catless with front mount and reflash stg 2) these cars reak of fuel/ fumes with no cat.....Not so good for the baby! Lol

I just can't bring myself to like the new STi. May just get a new civic (GREAT milage and cheap if you get one a year or two old). My back seat in my beater isn't even bolted down correctly, so it has GOT to go.

as for the thread/fail police....get a life. It is close enough. If it is keeping you awake at night, have a mod move it.

Thanks Ill get some updated pics up. Thats like day 2 of ownership. Im 2 exhausts 3 downpipes and a suspension away from that photo. And some diff taillights.

 

I really agreed with you for the longest time. As you being a hawk eye owner we have the sexiest year of the sti. Bug eye is blah blob eye can look really good but the hawk eye takes the cake. The difference is the 08 sti is just a much nicer car. Its much more refined and is a better platform. How jealous are you that we(08 owners) can fit 18x9.5+35 with some 275s pretty easily. Just run some camber. And the only slight issue is the rear. The suspension makes for a great handling car with some minor mods. Sway bars really made the 08 how it should have been. I hate the dual exhaust bs. Plus the 08s are putting down 315 awhp stage 2. Which is what an easy 40whp higher than normal stage 2 bug blob or hawk eyes. The thing that sucks is the 08s tune is even worse than the 07 the dual avcs cams are killing my cam options(as in I have none) its now a slightly higher compression motor. But with some coilovers and my 30r kit my 08 will be just about perfect. Ill strip it make it my track car and then buy a nissan titan or something as my DD.
