How much does an LS swap run? That would be a mean Z-monster.
Thanks, man. I'm very glad to be here.

As far as cost on the swap, it really depends on whether you're talking a budget build or "doing it right". I'd estimate 12k-18k for a built LS2 & tranny from a 2005ish GTO and all supporting mods if you pay someone to do all of the work - pretty much the same costs as a fully built engine and TT kit with all supporting mods making the same power.

As with anything, you can save some real money if you can source your own engine and tranny and perform some of the work yourself. You can get REALLY low on the cost if you go with an iron block out of a truck instead of the aluminum from the sports cars and do all of the fabrication work yourself versus buying a Hinson or Sikky kit, etc. Don't take my word for it thought, I'm just starting my research & learning - the guys at CIN Motorsports in Charlotte have it down pat. You ought to call them.

Why swap? The advantages IMO are that you're:
1) producing that power NA with higher reliability (compared to TT VQ)
2) leaving plenty of growing room for more power with nitrous, SC, or Turbo
3) reducing maintenance costs

Okay. I wanted to follow up with some real world shots. These are not photoshop's but are me playing with vinyl on the car to get an idea of how the lines of the car look with different designs.

Swept back black vinyl to continue line of window back to taillights:

There is a lot going into the full vinyl layout for the car - not just the sweep back portion. I'll post pictures of the completed car once I get back from ZDayz - or hopefully I will see many of you all there!
