Default Vk56 hood ideA.

Hey guys if you've seen my build thread you know I like crazy stuff. I am wondering if maybe someone with some
Photoshop skills could do me a huge favor. I am
Considering buying a g35 stillen supercharger hood and grafting the cowl onto my HR hood so I can cover the intake runners. What do you think? Any help is greatly appreciated!

If I understand what you are saying, you want to buy the Stillen hood, cut out the cowl, graft it on your HR hood.
Why not just buy the COWL?
Stillen sells this as a separate piece for about $225.
Also, there are other scoops&cowls available online.
Is this for looks not funtional?
Supports under the hood have to be delt with.
I just installed a pair of finned aluminum vents.
To make e'm funtional, had to route the air on angle thought
the supports.Was not easy.

The cowl for the hr style hood is not sold by itself from what I have seen. The vk56 intake manifold is too tall and I will have to cut a hole in my hood and just let the intake runners hang through,
Or cover it.

Is this the one you're talking about? It looks **** if it is. Surely there are better aftermarket options?

Would it be possible to cut out the 350z HR cowl, raise it, add some material (metal/fibreglass?).. if you know what I mean?

The first other option that sprang to my mind was the Ford Falcon bonnet bulge

Go old school, man. Cut your OEM hood to make a taller cowl.

I don't have an OEM Hood. I have a CF Hood that is paint matched to the car. The CF Cowl is still exposed. I am not even sure you could call it a cowl. It's the HR style hood.
