Default GT Motorsports: AWD G35 Sedan, JWT 530BB, FCon VPro, Custom TD, Methanol Injection

I am really excited to announce completing this car, this is another previous VRT car. The car came in running super lean and not making power. We went through the car, installed the parts listed below and am pleased to annouce that this car feels expectionally well for a AWD G35 with a STOCK automatic transmission. I guess there was some light at the end of the tunnel.

"Reborn G35x"

JWT 530BB Twin Turbo Kit (Already Installed)
Built Engine (VRT Installed and Built)
HKS F-Con V-Pro EMS
Innovate! LC-1 Wideband Feedback
Innovate! XD-16 Gauge for Wideband
Walbro 255 pump
560cc Denso Injectors
JWT Fuel Management Unit
Aquamist 2D W/M Injection System
GTM Custom True Dual Exhaust 2.5"
GTM ECU Flash

Conservative 91 Octane tune @ 12PSI in extremely hot weather (110 degrees!)

Before and After Comparison ( Over 100 HP & TQ Gain @ same boost )

These are pictures of the stillen muffler design, we had to fabricate a custom exhaust to help with the back pressure issues. Note on the Stillen how the chamber accepts 2 inlets but it is only 1 chamber inside.

GTM Custom 2.5" True Dual Exhaust Pictured Above Utilizing a 2in 2out muffler, We added 4 resonators to keep things quiet. The tips keep a stock look in the back making this Twin Turbo G35x the ultimate sleeper.

No Check Engine Light thanks to the GTM ECU Flash

Aquamist LED's to display Opertation and Low W/M level.

Pictured above is the Aquamist 2D system installed on this vehicle. The 2D system utilizes the Aquamist FiA2 which maintains a constant water to fuel ratio accross the entire RPM band to ensure a proper mixture and achieve peak performance.

That thing looks KickA$$!! Great job Sam!

Question... I have a snow kit and I was going to tap and install the nosel at the curve before the throttle body. I noticed you have it right at the intercoolers... any pluses or minuses to either set up?

Thanks.

There are a few different theories behind this and you can actually put it close to the throttle body if you want to. I put it on the outlet of the intercooler for better atomization.

OK, so that is far enough away from the MAF not to cause any issues since it is before the MAF? ...

Does that change the MAF sensor readings?

Again... KickA$$ numbers and way to fix up yet another VRT "F" up!

So a total of 5 resonators? Assuming that's a resonated Magnaflow tru-x crossover I see there.

Totally irrelevent to this application. Running an fcon you are not relying on the maf any longer as a map sensor is used.

That said on the JWT kit, the maf is placed before the turbos and the injection point in this application is after the maf

Ok, I might be sight impaired here.... But looking at the pics the tap is between the intercoolers which goes up and to the right bends back past the MAF to the throttlebody and into the plenum.

So, isn't it before the MAF? ...

I am trying to see if this might work for my Vortech set up which I am still using the MAF to tune with a Utec.

Thanks.... sorry to hijack a bit, but it is how we learn

The MAF is directly after the intake on the JWT kit and you can even see it in the 2nd engine bay pic, but like zivman said, with an Fcon you don't even care about the MAF anymore.

My water injection nozzle is placed right before the throttlebody and it's been working fine for me. I think the con of putting the nozzle far away from the throttle body is you end up spending some of your water cooling ability to cool the intake pipe, but like Sam said, you get more atomization. With a vortech or most other FI kits with EMS's that rely on the MAF, you don't have a whole lot of options where to put it

removes reoccuring SES codes from lighting up so you can pass emissions and if the SES light does come on, you know it actually might mean something

THANKS SAM!

Just got back in town...first time seeing car since you got it. Cant wait to drive it!! I finally feel comfortable in 'really' driving it and pushing it now that u've worked on it. Even tho i originally got the car back in January only really driven it couple months and most of the time cautiously.

Thanks again...i'm gonna have to enjoy it for awhile and maybe one day upgrade the turbos and AT

Nice work Sam. I like the way the gauges are set up.

Is that my car on the lift by the Lexus? Everytime you post up pics of another completed car, I try to find mine in some where in the background

Then it's like using a code eraser to erase the code
