Scott -- everyone can appreciate friendly competition and banter between various shops.

But please do not instigate arguments per the FI conduct rules.

It's not your business to come into another shop's thread and define for the masses what tracking is/is not and how you do it right and the other guys don't ... after all not every driver is created equally

BTW George, don't you work at a rv/trailer park? Aren't you just a GTM promoter?
you'll get banned if you continue. I dont get why you care so much? Do you have personal experience with GTM. Or are you one of those members who gets up set because they are higher priced and you couldnt afford to shop there so you bash them instead. OT this thread one more time and watch how fast i escort you off the site. And to answer your question George answered about working at an R/V shop. George obviously works at GTM if his sponsored name is being paid for. GOD-FORBID he works another job besides just GTM. However this post was deleted by another mod because they wanted to avoid OTing the thread like you are doing. But hey test me and OT the thread again and see if I don't take action.

Great work as usual Sam!! Nice to see an Auto on the track having some fun at a local track day. Was cool he drove it to and from the event and ran on his street tires.

It is not secret that I am a F&I manager at an RV Dealership (its in my profile), been doing it for years, and it has been good to me.

I met Sam as a customer, we became friends, and I ended up working for him as a second job. If you think I spend 20-30 hours a week at GTM for free, well then I don't know what to tell you. I am there after hours, the night shift if you would like, nonetheless I AM THERE.

Since GTM is not my main source of income (far from it) I have no reason to lie, or say things that I do not mean or believe in on this forum. When I met Sam I was very impressed with his work, facility, and how everything went on. Having had experiences with other shops, which I was always disappointed with, GTM was the first to take care of my needs.

As far as comparing GTM to VRT... Are you joking me? Show me one car that has been charged for parts that were not installed. Show me one engine that said it was going to have certain parts and then find out they weren't there. Exactly you can't BECAUSE THEY DON'T EXIST.

I don't know who you are, don't really care. All I know is you definitely have something against us, someone is obviously using you to TRY and tarnish our name. Why don't we end this hearsay and you can start a thread with FACTS proving what you claim.

Don't bother responding to this either, just start a new thread.

I was just browsing through the pictures again. The thread says it's an 06. The plenum says its an 06. The timing chain cover says its an 06. The hood says its an 07.

Did the customer have you guys put the 07 hood on, or someone else?

[QUOTE=Sam@GTM]Hey Ron, Thanks for the admiration we appreciate it. The temps at the track that day I would guess were about 75 degrees farhenheight. We have not found the need at this point to monitor the trans temp fluids, although it is a great idea and wouldn't hurt but we did not do it for this event. The factory ECM in these transmission would cause the transmission to go into a "limp mode" if the trans fluid temps exceed and unsafe tempature. This project has truley been flawless.

This car was running 14psi, which is wastegate pressure with the boost controller off.

One of the two blue coolers in the front is actually a transmission fluid cooler, the other is an engine oil cooler.

Thanks again Ron!

Sam about the Greddy trans coolers, are these complete kits ? (hoses, ends,etc...) ? or just the cooler itself. I assume you endorse these by using them or was it a customer supplied piece?
Are they universal or taylored to our cars? Can you PM a price to me for one
shipped to 19067. I am also interested in your VB upgrade as well!
I would like to hear more about, I am looking for a very firm shift.
I keep checking your website, at the very least you will have to update the coming soon message as 2007 is almost over! Ha Ha!
Thanks again, great job on the build!

Hey Jerry,

These are GReddy universal cooler kits that we fit to each application with a few other parts. If you'd like I can put together a kit for you, Did you want just 1 cooler kit for engine or both Engine and A/T?

The VB Upgrade is the minimum I would do for an F/I VQ, it isn't to expensive and is a great return for the cost.

Thanks Sam,
I am not FI and have no plans to do so, just looking for a valvebody that can increase performance (shift time) and chirp secon and third gears from a reputable shop. I think the SGP is what I am looking for but they are overpriced and Shariff no longer offers his.
Yes I would be intertested in a tranny cooler kit if you could put together a price for me, just one cooler please. Lokking for a complete bolt on kit with all clamps and hoses.

Thanks
Jerry

i'm curious, when does the boost start to build up? The graph starts around 4K or so.

and it's already been said, i'm sure, but that is a smooth power curve...congrats

Since this car has the standard APS kit, along with a 4.2L engine, the car spools VERY fast, imagine a factory twin turbo car. That is the type of spool characteristics of this setup, basically instant boost. (On the road with proper load of course, hard to simulate on a dynojet)

+1.

My APS TT car has almost no turbo lag. These turbos being able to push 600whp on our motors is awesome IMHO. Perfect balance between zero-lag, massive torque, good response and continuous pull towards redline (as opposed to BB530's or smaller turbos).
