To ad to that, the car is usually practiced, being ran hard for about a 20 minute session, for about 3-5 sessions the day before the event. The car is then usually ran (and fine tuned) in a couple more 20 minute sessions before the two 5 lap timed "Time Attack" sessions. An average roadcourse timed lap can be from 1 to about 3 minutes a lap,
There is a ton more abuse that goes on to a car durring a (hard ran) track session or a Time Attack event than anybody even realizes. All aspects of the car are abused thoroughly...brakes, chassis, motor, suspension, and even the driver sometimes, LOL. So, IMO, tracking a car (in a competition) is probably the most gruling test for them.

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. Apologies aren't needed. I don't dwell on the past, it's really a wasted time of thought specially since nothing can be changed or taken back. I just look at the present and what lies ahead. I hold no ill feelings to anyone in regards to what happened in the past post either. Everyone has their right to speak their mind and voice their opinions. Some may know how to do it more constructive than others, but thats life.
I've had the pleasure to meet a few of you here on the boards and hopefully more this year as we tour around and hit some of this years events. I look forward to an action packed year of races, shows and meets.
Thanks again everyone

Likewise Pete!
Maybe we can team up and show the big teams what some small east coast shops can do??
