First impression, I didn't realize it was fiberglass. For some reason your sneak peak pics led me to believe it was aluminum. It appears to be fine, and once the remaining changes to make it fit under the hood are complete I would like to do the real test - dyno! Also, I am concerned the original trumpets will not clear, but either way.

The oil fill neck is definitely required with the air box and the one on display seems quite functional. One change I would make is using mandrel bends, not that it will make any performance difference just because I hate crush bent piping by nature.

Doesn't look like the stock funnels would clear.

Paul, that air box was designed with the horns in your kit, so you shouldn't have any problems with fitment.

I need more details on your setup. In an effort to keep this thread on topic, please email me your current motor and what you would like to do.

I could be wrong but after seeing the air box and the horns on Paul's motor, I don't see how they would fit the airbox displayed at PRI.

I spoke with Jenvey at length while at PRI. the airbox is designed to work with the new oval, down-turned velocity stacks. It won't work with the regular, round, straight velocity stacks. IIRC, they were talking about casting aluminum boxes for FI use with this new setup.

That's what I figured...it didn't look like it would fit...Unless of course they are trying to sell new stacks with the box...

Thanks for the clarification. The news about them possibly making an FI version brought a smile to my face.

High enough to blow the engine for the other 50 percent of teens that don't crash their Z.

Hi Paul, how is your car doing? did you get it bqack to Hal to finish it up yet? The air boxes that you see being built in the pics are at Mack's shop Emerald Performance down here in Ft.Lauderdale. Jenvey may have something coming out for the guys with F/I in the future as well.
