This is our first Greddy 20G kit on the VQ35DE, i think with the safe set up your 04 VQ35DE stock block will hold up strong.

I would say the motor would benefit from the 20g upgrade. The slightly slower spool would somewhat lessen the traction issues. my Greddy TT would be at full boost around 3600 rpms if I remember correctly. Very nice numbers with this new tuner kit.

is this kit using the same old piping and intercooler that comes with the 18G kit?

looks like Greddy just changed the turbos and added a racing 2.5 DP with dumps.

I knew a guy out here who did the 20G upgrade on his greddy kit a couple years ago. Worked like a charm. I like the fast spool of the 18G's but mine are close to maxed out so more would be great!

No the intercooler is larger and thicker as well. Real 20G turbos, larger intercooler, big downpipes and dump tubes, and overall nicer hardware.

Those are the main differences.

for as much as greddy charges, you could buy your own Bell core and weld on custom endtanks to fit whatever u needed, for cheaper most likely.

I would just like to thank Forged Performance for all the work they did to my car, I never expected the car to be this fast, and after driving the car for 10 days, all I can say that it fulfilled my needs. Their work was spotless and precise, and I just couldn't ask for more. Again, thank you Sharif, Sandy, and Ryan for everything.

How much of a loss do you think there would be by running the 20G's thru the stock 18G intercooler? if any at all?

It's really hard to say conclusively. I have never witnessed this type of power increase with simply an aftermarket 20G upgrade. So either the true Greddy/Mits 20G flows significantly more than an aftermarket 20G upgrade, or the larger/more efficient turbocharger is resulting in more power. My guess is it's probably some combination of the two.

Can the Greddy 20g turbos be purchased as a direct replacment on a 18g turbo kit and if so, how much would it cost?

They can, but they are expensive. 18G turbos are about $1500 each from Greddy, so I imagine the 20G's are the same price or higher.
