isn't there any system to really tie down a car on the dyno so wheelspin isn't an issue? maybe bolt some anchors into the ground? no idea.

so what are your end goal expectations for this set up (fueling issues aside if there are more). 1300? 1400?

Thats how it is already. There are 4 anchors bolted into the ground behind the car. Problem is partially how low the car is in relation to the anchors (more pulling back and side to side than straight down).....

Thats why they'll have people sit in the trunk (we make good weight), and strap down tighter.....some even deflate tires a bit, strap down, add people, strap tire, then inflate tires back up....

pretty much though, above 1000rwhp is hard to hold down no matter what.

and those hub based dynometers cannot hold these types of power levels.

what a pain. strap that beotch to an engine dyno and be done with it. then use the engine dyno HP to get the % loss and apply that to all future numbers.

engine dyno!

Was at Sound Performance earlier today, what an awesome group of guys. Very professional, classy and knowledgable. A top notch quality shop with unparralelled craftsmanship...their work is second to none. Some of the nicest cars Ive seen, I saw that 350z, what a beast. I would HIGHLY recommend them for anyone in the midwest or anywhere for that matter. They are definitely willing to go that extra mile.
Chris let me know about the dyno appointment pleeeeaaaassseeee.

IN-F*ckin'-CREDIBLE!! For some unexplainable reason I feel like I owe you a Thank you! This community really needed a shop like you guys to push the limits a little and help the community develop and grow.

A few questions, was the stock crank re-balanced or is it factory? Also I noticed a stock crank pulley in a previous thread, is that what's still on?

Congrats again guys, I'm very very impressed. 900trq on a 3.5L is a fair bit of cylinder pressure! And those billets might just break the 1400whp mark!

thanks again, really everyone should I think, we now know that the stock tranny, crank, drive shaft..ect will at least withstand dyno abuse above 1200whp. Some manufacturers trannys wouldnt have made it off the dyno

Ohh last question...for now hah..... was this the "rev-up" oil pump? was it shimmed and what sort of oil pressure were you seeing at 8900rpm?

incredible!

Stock crank, stock crank pulley but that may change soon!!

Im a bit worried about the carbon fiber driveshaft.... may put in a better one before we try to launch the car any harder.

Im pretty sure that it is a rev up pump. (Chris can confirm this) Not shimmed. I really never looked at the oil pressure gauge during a pull. Usually watching the a/fs and other things. I can try a pull today and watch it for you!!

I know the oil pressure question is a bit bazaar and I'll admit its the last thing I'd be looking at during a 1200whp pull but its just curiosity I guess, I haven't seen many 9000rpm vq's so rpm related questions come to mind hah. I've always lived by the 10psi per 1000rpm school of thought( I know there are other factors there, like bearing diameter/width, reciprocating weight..ect...)So I was just curios if it held 90-100psi at 9000rpm, I actually dont know what the factory bypass psi is at I never really payed attention my self lol.

So I guess its time to manufacture a drop in chromoly shaft?
....after 1 launch on the carbon ok?
