Default Grinding/Popping noise from rear wheel

I just bought this 2004 350z two weeks ago. I took it on a vacation this weekend and as soon as i got to where i was going, I started to hear this loud grinding and popping noise coming from the rear driver side wheel. If I give it gas it goes away. Comes back when I let off the gas and it makes noise when at a constant speed. Just can't hear it when I'm accelerating. Got the breaks checked. Looked good. They think it's the wheel bearing. But I thought a wheel bearing made a moaning noise? And wouldn't it be a constant noise and not go away when I accelerate? IDK. Please Help!
