BTW, they have tuned a SC'd G35 IIRC. I'm not sure if they posted it here but they did post it on another forum. They'll be tuning another Z owner whenever he buys the UTEC.

Yea they are cool guys, Tuned my friends g with a vortech. Their shop used to be in Harvey, but they are now working out in Baton Rouge. Great guys. They've tuned a bunch of s/c and turbo charged 350z. Weird that I dont see to many modded Z's around here, but a lot of stock ones.

+1 When I had mine I only knew of a couple people aroud here who were even Z enthusiasts. I still may have only seen about 2 FI Z's here ever. The only modded ones I usually see are super riced out with horrible chrome rims.
Well hopefully when we succesfully tune a N/A and F/I 350z (UTEC) before the end of the year, things will open up for us in this market as well. Never hurts to extend one's circle of friends.
Thanks again RobertH, Blasian, Z2g and DavesZ for the nice words and support.
Alberto

well, in the FI section I posted my stroke of bad luck with my Z here last night.. I think z2g saw this.. but basically my motor up and died on me.
I will have another one dropped in within a week.. but not going back with FI on the replacement. So for now, I am gonna be running stock motor.. sucks without having that boost as it made a whole world of a difference in performance.. but it gives me something to look forward too with the motor that I "may" build .. regardless, I will continue to do some work on the car.. just more so in the aesthetic department for now.. I don't guess throwing a set of Volks on the car will cause a break down so it seems like the way to go.. plus the stock sound system can def use a make over.. this alone should keep my pocket book busy for awhile...
If I do decide to go with a build.. I may contact SBG for a long block and go with Turbos next time around...
but I am still here.. just slower.. =)
and thanks for the input.. as always...its appreciated.

I take it you have not had a chance to see what was the cause of the failure eh? Man that sucks, but it seems like you are going to be up with perhaps some nice bling factor coming up.
Well definetely slower, but slow rolling is not bad either with the right accessories.

i love the "bling factor".. but when that car was boosted i was all smiles behind the wheel man.. I was totally content with the stock exterior all while running "something" under the hood.. everything else could have waited as I was looking forward to seeing those "oh ****" faces as my "stock Z" walked past them.. but I never got the op to do so...
Actually, I think I am cursed.. after speaking with my sister tonight.. she brought to light the facts that I have had several things go wrong when it comes to vehicles I have had in the past..
I had a 87 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe (Thunder Chicken was the name..).. and that car ran its butt off back in the day.. but 2 months after having it, I blew the motor... no biggie, bored it out, cam, tweaked the Turbo... man it ran... blew it again within a week.. sold the damn car.. next owner rebuilt and lost the Turbo within the first week after rebuild..
1999 Tacoma TRD, new off the lot.. 3200 miles later.. motor locked up.. =|
1994 Nissan Maxima - 3 weeks later stolen
1999 Yammy R6, 3 weeks later stolen
Friends Ducati 900 - took it for a spin, 30 mins later in the hospital, bike totalled... car ignored a stop sign and me coming down the street
Mazda MX-6 limited edition - nothing mechanical here.. but me and the wifey split and I gave her the car.. which at the time was a year old.. maybe worth about 17-18K... it was in my name.. 6 months later, she decided it needed a makeover.. smashed it to hell, and then gave it back... sold at an auction for 2500.. left me with the bill...
lol... this hasn't been all my cars over the years.. but just some of the experiences I have had... so it makes sense to add this Z motor issue to my list of "what tha hells"..
but yeah man.. I am not sure I will ever really know what happened last night when the motor went out... not sure if you read the post in the FI section... but basically a buddy of mine was driving it when it happened.. and he said he didn't do anything that could have caused this.. which, I believe him..... but part of me is looking forward to the next time him and his wifey get into a major fight.. as she was with him in the car when it happened last night.. so when they are heated I will be sure to randomly ask her about that night to see if she spills the beans.. lol
take it cheesy Alberto... I'll be in touch in the near future..
