Default Pig Trail

In North West Arkansas we like a little road called the "Pig Trail". (I saw somewhere it was rated one of the top 10 in the country.)

16 miles from Fayetteville at one end and I-40 (Ozark) at the other, nestled in the Ozark Mountains, it's 26 miles of straight-a-ways, switch-backs and up and down hills.
THIS IS WAT THE Z WAS DESIGNED FOR!
How many times have you seen a Z at a professional Drag Strip (racing) or on an oval track? You don't you see them on the road courses.

There's a campground on the trip and a couple motels close, anyone close enough for a drive?

I used to hate driving that road from Hot Springs to school up there, but that was when I had a ford explorer. Plus, you'd always get stuck behind some semi - but I guess since they opened that new interstate it's not so busy.

There's a nice strech of road down here between Russelville and Hot Springs, senic hwy 7, I've run it a few times, awesome.

Heck the run from the Spa to 1-30 (70 west) is alright also.

I totaled my 81 ZX coming from Little Rock one night at 10 mile Mountain in '85.

Wow, those signs are the things dreams are made of.

I can't wait until I am more comfortable with my car's handling (only had it about 2 weeks) to hit some of those roads. I've taken some people on some thrill rides through a similar road here in Austin.

lokeey, I'm always on it early in the mornings either Sat or Sun (or both) I have never seen a cop on the Pig Trail. Guess I've just been lucky. You have Conway Hell listed as location. Are you in Arkansas? If so hit the Arkansas / NW Arkansas thread also. We are really trying to get a group together.

Is this considerd the backway to get to the stadium in Fayetteville before the Bypass was put in. Cause I think I remember driving it....however the only thing I remeber is always being stuck behind RV's and other slow automobilia.

Yes, I live in Conway Arkansas and there is like.......4 other Z's here..( a blue, orange, red and another ppw besides mine) So name the place and time and I should be able to make it. I plan on showing my car at Toadsuck next month at the car show sponserd by Fisrt National Bank in Conway so that would be a great time to meet up......there is usually a great turnout of old muscle cars, MG's,and hotrods....not to mention the more technological advaced ones like ours......Just a thoght????
