This is a late notice because I just found it on the Kansas City Region SCCA website www.kcrscca.org.
The Meet in the Middle Rally has 2 starting lines-one in Topeka, the other in Wichita. The route weaves through the Kansas Flint Hills with the 2 groups of cars eventually converging near the middle of the route. The finish line is "near" Emporia, KS. The total distance is about 200 miles and the entire route is on paved roads. Estimated time to complete is 5 hours/
This is a Time-Speed-Distance rally where you will be judged on finishing each leg within a preset distance, average speed, and time.
I did this last year in my Z and it's a blast. Although it's a long day it's full of laughs and some cussing.
More info can be found here.

Thw weather for Saturday's Meet in the Middle Rally looks great. Partly cloudy (which could be interpreted as partly sunny) and 61 degrees.
What a great way to give your car some exercise after a few months of being cooped up due to bad weather.
Entry fee is $20 per car and there are 2 starting lines-1 in Wichita and the other in Topeka. The total route is about 200 miles.

The post below was copied and pasted from the HAZCC website. Hope to see some of you there.
The Topeka starting line is at the SCCA National Headquarters, 6700 SW Topeka Blvd., Bldg 300. I'm pretty sure this is at the old Forbes Field which sets just north of Heartland Park.
Registration is 10:00-10:45.
Drivers meeting at 10:45.
First car leaves at 11:01.
Driving distance is about 200 miles over paved roads with 2 rest stops scheduled at convenience stores. Think snacks, gas, bathrooms.
Finish line is Olpe, KS. just south of Emporia, probably at the fried chicken place.
If you live closer to Wichita, the starting line is at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 431 South Woodlawn, Derby, KS. with the same registering/drivers meeting/starting times.
This is a long event but a fun event with low wear and tear on your car. Basically, you're driving the posted speed limits which can be a challenge in itself.
As a reminder, you do NOT have to be driving a "sports car" to participate. In the 2 events I did last year I saw Ford Tauruses and even a conversion van. So the old "My Z needs work" or "My Z isn't nice enough to participate" excuses don't work here.
Cost is $20 per team/car.
