Z Car show in St. Louis
The Gateway Z Club's annual Z Car Show will be Sunday May 4 at Bommarito Nissan. This event is free and open to all Nissan owners, you do not have to be a member of the club, or even have a Z, any Nissan will do. We will have 5 classes: Best 350Z, Best Z32, Best Z31, Best 280ZX, Best Z, and Best Nissan.
Registration from 9 AM to 11 AM, the show officially starts at 10 AM with trophies awarded at 3 PM.
Food and drinks will be available, with all proceeds benefiting Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (so please come hungry). Dash plaques will be given to the first 25 cars to show up.
The show is sponsored by Bommarito Nissan, 661 Dunn Road in Hazelwood, Missouri. If rained out, the show will be rescheduled for Sunday June 8; if there is a chance of rain call Ken Jamin at 314-504-8991, he will make the decision on the morning of the show. If you have questions feel free to write me, Brian at BrianLZX@Netscape.net

Oh, come on now, it's not that far of a drive, 114 miles, 1.5 hours tops. Sure, it would be faster in a Z, but... The event is for most of the day, and should be a lot of fun. If you still can't make it, watch this post in case we get rained out on the 4th, in which case it gets postponed until June 8.
Hey, where did you end up buying yours from? Which dealers did you visit and how well were you treated at each? I'm asking simply because a lot of people ask me which area Nissan dealers are best, and I like to know what experiences others had. Feel free to send PM or e mail if you don't want to discuss it in public.
I bought it from Bommarito. I talked to a salesman there that a lot of people recommended, and I wasn't too impressed. Then a good friend told me of another salesman there and he is probably the nicest salesman I have ever dealt with. He did what he could to get a good price, kept in touch, and treated me with respect, which is something no dealer has ever done.
Well I'm glad to hear you were happy in the end. As I said before, I just want to know everyone's experience with local Nissan dealers so I can relay that experience to others. So far Bommarito is looking good, and Suntrup not so good.
I hope to meet you one of these days. If you were to ever make the "long drive" to meet up with St. Louis Z owners, the three best would be: the winery tour, the Branson trip, and the car show. The first two we do with the Kansas City Club and are my wife's favorites. We get great turnout from both clubs for those, about 35-40 for the winery tour. The car show is our largest event; we expect 50 Zs this year if the weather is good.t

I am going to try to swing by. I have an autocross at UMB Pavilion that day, but should be able to get there and run early on, so I could at least swing by the show and see all the new toys.
If it weren't on an autocross day I'd be all over showing up and cleaning up my new toy
I also got mine from Bommarito, after getting pissed off at Lou Fusz and Autocenters Nissan in Alton. The guys at Autocenters said they would get me a dealer transfer and sat around for a few days and apparently weren't looking to find anything too quickly. I went to Bommarito and got the exact car I was looking for 8 days later.

Great! I look forward to meeting you both! I know Bommarito will be feeling very proud to have you turn out for the show they are sponsoring.
GirlieGT: Don't worry about driving it quick, that will only attract cops! Kiddin', I know what you mean. If getting to drive a new 350Z isn't incentive enough to learn to drive a stick, I don't know what is.
Christoc: You think your experience was bad, I'll have to tell you mine someday. Maybe Sunday? Don't worry about not having a perfectly clean car for the car show, our show isn't like that. We don't have judges. Kind of a people's choice, but only those with Z cars get to vote. Mostly it's about showing OFF the car and talking car talk all day. Checking out what other people have done, getting other opinions, etc. A dusty car is a used car, and used cars are always good. Just try to pull the cones out from under the car before you show up. :-)

You'll get used to the stick. Don't let it get you down. This is the first manual I've driven on a daily basis in several years. It just takes a bit of time to get used to.
Sorry to hear you had a problem with Todd, though. Oh well.

If you got $20 to spare stop by Radio Shack and pick up a 350Z Zip Zap. A few of the guys have them and we plan on having races. Come on, it's a 350Z, you know you gotta have one anyway.

I didn't go through Todd, he kind of made me mad, so one of my friends referred me to his salesman there.
So far I love the car, but I hate having a stick

Todd made me mad too, but I still got the car from him. Buying this car has been a nightmare, but I sure you guys don't want to hear about it.
