The info below was copied from my club's website-www.hazcc.com.
As you can tell, most-if not all-of the "challenges/learning moments" we had last year are being addressed.
For more info go to www.bransonzfest.com
"All of the multi-year attendees of the Branson Z Fest already know that the one thing that you can count on each year is some type change. Simply put, we stick with what works but are not afraid to take things in a different direction when needed. (See last years "steak nuggets" as a change that didn't work out exactly as planned.) These changes are usually sparked by a couple different factors: 1) The need to promote the growth and expansion of the event. 2) Feedback from the event attendees. (And some times it is a combination of both of those items.) With that said, the BZF crew is pleased to announce a sneak peek at the final plans for the car show and awards banquet!
Just a few of the changes in '07 vs. 06:
Defined classes for the peoples choice car show.
Trophies and other misc. awards given out for each class (as well as the peoples choice across all of the classes.)
Addition of a select few "judged" classes.
Buffet type meal (lots and lots of really good food is better then a small amount of high class grub.)
OFFSITE car show location. (This alone is a HUGE change for '07.)
Want more? Stay tuned! Additional details will be released over the next couple of days. Have a question? Hit the event web site and let us know!"

Just some updates re. registration fees, etc. Refer to www.bransonzfest.com.
From what little clues I've picked up from the organizing committee, this years car show will be held in park area which I believe is maybe privately owned.
Anyhow, the location has some phenomenal scenery which is ideal for photo ops.
I'm headed down Thursday and plan on taking the Friday day cruise.

A follow up on Branson Z Fest:
With the exception of rain showers messing up people's plans for day trips or the drag event Friday night, everything went very smoothly. Fortunately, the weather for Saturday's car show was fantastic!
The car show was held in Dogwood Canyon which is south and west of Branson and it was a beautiful location with a stream and cliff in the background. Lunch and the awards ceremony were held in a pavilion on the grounds. Everything was wrapped up by 4 p.m. and we were free to do our own thing. naturally the whole event was capped off by a huge party in the parking lot of the hotel.
Two things I found interesting was that #1 the Z generations were represented almost equally and #2 it was amazing how far people traveled for this. I saw Z's from California, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas, Illiinois -including 2 from Chicago, Mississippi, Kentucky, Michigan, and New Jersey.
If you didn't make it this year I hope you'll give it serious consideration next year.
