Delta Autocross and Mirrorkhana, Nov 10-11, Zephyr's Field, Metairie LA
Delta SCCA Autocross and Mirrorkhana
Saturday and Sunday, Nov 10 & 11, 2007
Zephyrs Stadium, Metairie, Louisiana
AUTOCROSS DETAILS
The Saturday event will be the same as any regular auto-x. You will get 4 or more runs, as circumstances allow. We will be running regular classes, regular heats and regular scoring. We will have trophies and results for the Saturday event.
Saturday Autocross Schedule:
- 7:30am-9:00am: Registration and Tech
- 9:15am-9:30am: Driver's Meeting
- 10:00am: First Car Out
MIRRORKHANA DETAILS
The Sunday event will be what is known as a “mirror-khana”. The course layout will be very similar to the Saturday auto-x, but will be closed so that it forms a continuous circuit. Two cars will run at the same time, from opposite sides of the course. The first one back to their starting line is the winner. Picture a clock, where one car starts a 6:00 and one starts at 12:00. Both drive clockwise and the first back to their starting position wins. This is NOT a timed event.
At no time will you be racing “door-to-door” – however, you will see the other car at various times on the track. Safety is paramount, and we will stop the race if any dangerous situations arise.
We will rank everyone based upon the PAX results from Saturday’s event (if you do not attend Saturday, you can still run, but will be forced to be seeded at the bottom of the list). You will be seeded into a double-elimination tournament bracket system according to these results. This guarantees everyone at least 2 runs. To win the tournament, you will need to win 7 of 8 races.
You are allowed to hit 1 cone with no penalty assessed. If you hit 2 or more cones, you will be given a DNF and will lose the race. Standard “cone” rules apply (in the box, knocked over, pointers, etc.).
After the formal event is over, we will be holding “Grudge Matches” for $1 per run per driver. You may challenge any other driver in any other car to a grudge match and race against them. We will hold grudge matches until we run out of sunlight or you run out of $1 bills – whichever comes first!
There is no limit to the number of entries.
Sunday Mirrorkhana Schedule:
- 8:00am: Registration and Tech (if you did not attend Saturday)
- 8:30am-9:00am: Driver's Meeting (no formal walkthrough; do this on your own time)
- 9:00am: First Car Out
GENERAL INFORMATION
Concession will be open all day Saturday and Sunday. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, water, sports drinks and soft drinks are available.
Weekend Entry Fees:
- One- day (either Saturday or Sunday): $25
- Two-day : $40
- Spectators: free

I *might* be there Sat. Can't make Sunday.
My engine or trans is making a weird rattling noise at around 1000 rpm. Checked some obvious stuff today and couldn't find a problem. If I can't get it on a lift before then to inspect it closer, I won't make Sat either.

I don't know if I'll be able to do it now. I'm selling my factory wheels to Khann(spelling). I don't think I can have my tires for my wheels by then. Until I get tires for my wheels, I have to ride on my bald a$$ set on those 17s I bought.
