Any non-painted metallic surface that eventually is attached to the chassis is fine. You can unscrew almost any screw that goes into a metallic surface behind the dash and use it as a ground.
i know but is the wire connected to the ebrake or to the back of the radio?
where's the ebrake wire in the car is what i meant..
how and where's the best spot in the car to get at --at then id know...
fiber dash kit install finished.. and avic d3.
nah doug if you connect it to the ebrake you won't be able to watch it unless the ebrake is up. the ebrake is a open circuit when you pull it up it makes a connection to turn the brake light on. so there for it grounds out and thats why it will only work with the ebrake up. if you just ground it to like the stereo ground it will work all the time.
