Since this rule has been enacted the number of scammers has virtually dropped to zero compared to the 3-4 a week we were seeing. Your friend isnt anyone special regardless of how many itrader points he had. Everyone is treated the same if they dont follow rules.
If you dont like it you can leave.

I'm not trying to bash anyone, but some people have to understand that there is risks to buying items online. This new rule is like the government making people use their seatbelts, it should be the sellers decision. I just find it odd that one of his threads would be deleted in the first place, because he has obviously not scammed anyone in the past. I understand that rules are rules, but I had one of my threads deleted and the tag on my car says SCHROED I figured that was enough evidence that is was mine. No one ever notified me that it was deleted or anything, I didn't find out for a couple of days. Also how could I even scam someone out of my car? It's not like I was going to ship it anywhere. Like I stated in the beginning, I'm not trying to bash on anyone I would just like mods to think about things before they get a lot of members angry.

ryan, yes ur tag had ur name but u also need a date stamp.....we all know mark is a good guy but if he is disrespecting mods..thats not cool... u cant get mad at the mods for doing their jobs...
Messing around or not..it was uncalled for really. I've seen ebay sellers with 1000+ positive feedback scam before. Risk yes, but to try to cut down the risk is a good thing by doing that imo.

I apologize if yours was deleted in error. Someone may have missed the sign when they were looking at it. If a few members get angry its fine also. The ones who are happy with the new rules far outweigh the ones who dont like it.

NEW rule for posting FS threads in the classifieds** MUST READ!!!!
In light of the recent, and increased, scamming in the Marketplace, we will be enforcing a new rule for the Classifieds.
All sellers are now required, effective immediately, to post at least 1 picture of each item listed in his/her classified ad to verify ownership of said item(s). In doing so, however, the picture must contain a slip of paper, or something similar, with the seller's My350Z.com username and date. While this does not prove without a doubt that the seller owns the said items, it will minimize/reduce the possibility of potential scams. Keep in mind that in these times, not having any access to some sort of digital camera is not an excuse. Any and all threads that do not adhere to this new rule can and will be deleted without prior notice or warning.
Again, this new rule to our Marketplace is to be enforced immediately for any and all threads created after the time this Announcement was posted. In addition, the existing threads created prior to this Announcement will need to abide by this new rule by the 1st of May, 2009.

I think I might keep my car.... I have been driving a couple of jeeps and trucks lately, and I just don't really love them like I do sports cars. I might just get a newer Z or something like that.
