Def. faster. I've always taken this way and never seen a cop on that road so you could book it for a good portion of the ride.

home depot works for me, somebody figure out what the best time will be. I think it would be cool if we all met somewhere before and drove in together, it doesn't have to be in BR, we can meet up at a gas station in donaldsonville

Just take i-10 to 310 (heading towards my place in Destrehan) but keep going over the Lulling bridge, exit Donaldsonville. This puts you on 3127 and you keep going till you can't go no more. Take a left at that light and just keep going till you see the signs for the track. Takes me 30-45 minutes depending on how many people are on the road.

Once you take that left off of 3127 on to the road that takes you to the race track, half way down is a 4 way split that has two gas stations to your left. If that's the shell you're talking about then yeah.
If it's the other one I'm thinking about you have to take a right off of 3127 heading towards the interstate.
