Thumbs up OKC--Pics from the dragstrip event

Didn't get any action shots, we were running so often that I didn't even get time to walk too far from the Z. The Oklahoma Z Car Club held it's first "King of the 1/4" event and we had a blast, had a couple no shows, but everyone who attended got plenty of runs in (we quit at 13 around 3:30).

All in all it was alot of fun. Having never gone drag racing before I can say I learned just how hard it is to trim down your 60ft time. Mine were abysmal! But I managed to cut it down to my personal "best" of 2.33sec, which gave me my best run of the day (13.50@109.64mph)!

Afterwards a few of us cruised to my place and threw some burgers on the grill, and just BS'ed for a bit. It was cool to meet new Z folks from the site (Miguel, Jason, Melissa) and get out and have fun together! Hope to see you guys back out at events/meets soon!

LJ

I thought this was pretty funny, dunno why

hehe I was pretty shocked to see 2905lbs myself... i almost didn't believe the numbers... I had to check to make sure the car was on the scales properly lol...

I was impressed with your cars top end... about halfway down the track you would always fly past me like I forgot where the throttle was... damn twin turbos.. not to mention your car is in awesome condition...

I'm really looking forward to the sheriffs training course... that will be a seriously good time....

nice pictures btw... i like the curved one in the staging lanes..

Hmm, I just might. Haven't autoX'd this Z before, keep me in the loop if you go (remington park right?). The 9th is a friday, did you mean the 10th?

I think I'll be up for it. Though it will likely result in me being even more angry with myself for buying progressive-rate Eibach springs
