lol. i stayed up til 6am on saturday.....no fking idea why. so i pretty much slept the day away. had school @ 9 last night so i slept during the day so i could stay up til we were done @ 130.
So, after getting the car on the lift we discovered the genesis of the noise is the front of the diff. So, first I'm replacing every f'ing bushing in the rear cradle. Reason is, my diff mount/traction control bushing is blown. I know that it wasn't a month ago when I changed diff oil, but we're going to replace them all first. If that doesn't work, then it's for sure the diff and I really don't want to do that.
Just thought I would give a heads up. I was on my way back into town tonight. To head to the hobby shop to do some more work on the Z tomorrow. And just outside of Jacksonville I came across a silver z. Well anyway he walked away from me and I was pleasantly suprised with a seemingly stock looking z when I hear the turbo spool up. Anyway the guys name is Nick I talked to him for a minute a little later. I think he just got back in town Im not sure I had to be somewhere so I didn't stay and talk long. Anyway keep an I out. I don't remember or not whether is tags where from AR or what but he is back from NC.
Anyway, just thought I would post up there is a new Z in town.
That's the problem, nothing. I drove to Memphis last weekend and while there it starting making a weird noise. It has continued since and I did my research today and everyone says it's the tranny and it's pretty much gone. It's a whining noise at throttle to maintain speed that gets louder when you let off. Really really pissed off here.
Mine whines like crazy but I know for a fact its my LSD. It doesn't whine off throttle. Do you not have a CD009? Figured it was like standard to swap it
I probably won't be around in my z to cruise with you guys next time you meet. Sending it to Denver for Moar work since resources are limited here. MOAR powa!!
