Sup guys? I gotta sell the Z
!! Gotta baby due in June and as you all know....can't put a car seat in Z.... Anyone who's interested or know someone that might be, contact Rod at rbostic@pcso.org
if you really love your Z, you should consider a G sedan (the coupe has seat harness anchors on the rear seat too
). Alot of the same stuff you like about the Z is going to be in the G as well. I'm not sure you would like what you hear, but maybe Ellis Infiniti would give you some decent numbers. They gave me nearly private sale value on my maxima trade in, but that was years ago... But they've always been a bit more fair than other dealers around here.
If you do, ask for Randy (Johnson I believe). He's owns the sweet red Z32 there. Anyway, they arent high pressure like Nissan lots... at all. But they are still a car lot and private sale will always fetch more.

you talking about the spring? mine broke this fall and it freaked me out.. I was backing in and the door went up 3/4 of the way, then violently slammed back down. You know I back in at an angle, so I cant see whats in the garage. I didnt know it was the spring, my first thought was that somebody inside pulled the release... and of course it wouldnt open. I had about 5 seconds of "ummm, ok.. somebody might be in the house.. now what?" They do not make those things like they use to. Mine broke in 2 years.
Its not standard to give warranties on springs anymore, but they are supposed to last 10+ years.. so I was able to get Royal to not only warranty it, but they also did a comprehensive tuneup of sorts. Mine broke because they hadn't used the properly rated springs.
anyway, unless the door slammed down and broke, the counter spring or cables shouldnt be more than $200 with labor. The parts themselves are cheap, like $35-60. But alot of places wont sell to individuals for fear of getting sued.
I was just lucky I wasnt already going into the garage. Or debby, she doesnt wait for it.. it would have destroyed the pathfinder had it been her.

If youre trying to buy something inexpensive and still like Nissan, our Pathfinder has been wonderful. the 99.5 - 2004 bodystyle are a real bargain. 2001 and up is the same VQ engine we have. Our Pathfinder has needed 1/10th the warranty/repair work that my G has needed.
a good example (although that price is higher than some private sales)

I'm not sure what would be more fun, going like that.. or stopping like that in traffic... I'd love to see the look on people's faces.
