hey guys whats up?
I'm flying in on the 10th-27th of December. With Brett moving away, TJ in the DC area, and John in Germany, this thread has been a ghost town....
My lease is up in the end of February, there's a chance I might move back. As for the Z, I'm getting the trans. built with better internals, 3200 stall torque convertor and a bigger cooler in the begining of next year. I'm also looking into either switching to Osiris uprev or sending my Haltech in for repair. I'll probably leave it here until all the glitches are worked out and then fly back up and bring her home to Arkansas with me.
Let me know if you guys wanna hang out, I'll be rollin' in my dad's suv again

We are not all gone, I ran into some issue with the TT build, but have since resolved them. If all goes well should be getting tuning done in Texas this upcoming weekend. So I would definitely love to do something with what is left of the Arkansas page.
I check this page all the time. Well subscribed to it. Still got the car, but it's in rough shape. My clear bra is cracking and looks like hell. I can't find anybody to remove it. it's that tough. I'd still like to find a set of Volks.. dont care for the OEM wheels, but at the time, it was a money decision to sell mine and go back to cheaper OEM all seasons.
speaking of, I'm highly motivated to get this 3.3 VLSD pumpkin out of my garage. Its from an 06 with 13k on it (Not salvage, they swapped to a pumpkin with a Quife in it.).

We gonna try to plan anything. I just dropped my car in dallas to have turbos upgraded and rebuilt and tuning done to the car and a few other minor issue resolved looking at around a month turn around time. After that anyone want to try and get together.
I am still waiting for my car to be finished up with the turbo upgrade and a few other things, but I am still definitely available and excited to see if we can get a photo shoot and a drive together maybe not all only 350z. I know some people that would be cool with meeting up and doing something inbox me and lets see who would like to have a meet.
any decent shop recommendations in Central AR? I need the valve covers done. While I know it's pretty straight forward and Im not afraid the yank the plenum, I just don't have the 6 hours and possibility I wont get it back together in time. I had recommended Chenal Automotive before, but I don't think I'll be going back.
Tware, If you still need the valve covers done I can do it cheap and quickly. Lots of experience. Well let me know if you haven't already gotten this done. Also fingers crossed about picking my z up saturday after tuning we need to get a meet together maybe a drive. Could talk to others I know with well any cars for a drive and maybe some pictures. you guys that are still here shoot some ideas.
I do, leaking like crazy, smells horrible. Trying to source the parts at the best price, have some good leads... about $450
weak! I mean, I assume the spark plug seals need to be replaced too at almost 10 years old. So covers, gaskets and plenum gaskets. I've had the plenum top off to do the spacer. How much more time is it to get the lower off? I definitely want to have someone who's done it before, from my reading, most first timers dont get the gaskets on properly (slip out of place) the first time.

after top is off is pretty easy sure you could do it yourself or even if you are close I would come by and help and no charge. after top then its bolts running through bottom piece to intake runners, and nuts on front and back. few other little things really simple and the gasket on bottom is metal and you cannot miss or have it slide it is notched front and back and the studs hold it in place. really good idea to make power I did it is to port out the piece under lower plenum the intake runners I made 12 hp at wheels n/a from that just saying. could do the gaskets for cheap and they stick in the covers good so hard to mess up but yea have done many times. I will do for cheap or come over and instruct and assist if needed for free if you are local ... close to little rock within reason.

BlackOhfour, I really appreciate your offer to help. seriously, kind of a small community around here, it's nice to know helpful people are around. I just had my car in the shop because a metal plate flipped up as I passed over and tried to rip off my lower control arms. $3k worth of damage. While it was in for repair at the dealer, and they were waiting around for parts and paint (bumper), I asked if they could do anything on the valve covers. The Tech and SM made a deal I couldn't refuse for 2.5 hours labor. Which seems more than fair considering the 5-6hr book rate. anyway, I just let them do it for that price. I will get hurt on the cost of parts, they are a bit more than say ordering online. But, meh.. just happy to get it done.
Also, does anyone around here have a fender roller kit I could borrow? I really don't want to buy one but if I have too I will, I suppose. I am going to need to roll my front fenders to try and fit some 275/35/18s up front on some 9.5 +15 RFP1s Hopefully all it will need is to be rolled. I REALLY don't want to pull the fender.
I won't need this till the middle of May when I return from Afghanistan. Just figured I would go ahead and start searching now.
Thanks,
-Michael
