just spoke to Jon (owner @ eurotrix) on the phone this past week about installing a set of sway bars and springs and getting an alignment shortly after. he quoted me $525 minimum which seemed a little high so i'm not sure if i'm going to take it to them or not. i'll probably end up doing most of the mechanical work on the car myself and save the tune for them. i imagine it'll probably be in the realm of $700-1k. plus, the only thing i have on the horizon as far as parts go are sways, springs, exhaust and tp's... i can probably knock all of that out in one day if i can get it on my buddy's father-in-law's lift.
525 for that actually doesn't sound bad.
i haven't looked at shops in this area (since i'm new to stl) but just under 100$ for a total alignment seems normal. I did'nt want to mess with doing springs myself so back home i had a shop do it and it was 200$ just for installing the s-tech's on my car. Sways probably add a minimum of another hour of shop time so 525$ probably is in the ballpark.
for tuning, i think they charge per hour for dyno tune and depending your engine management i wouldn't see more than 4-6 hours. 4 seems about normal, 6 would be a long tuning session unless you have a wild setup going on (meth, nitrous, ect).
when are you heading for a tune? i'd like to check out the shop and see how things go. i live in chesterfield now.

i'll probably get the tune early/mid summer. gotta get tp's and exhaust on first. i'll let you know when i'm headed out there. i live about 20 minutes from chesterfield (141/manchester area).
so you think 525 is reasonable for that? now that i've looked into DIY spring installation, it might be worth it for me to pay to get it done. sways don't seem bad though. i'll probably just pay to get the springs put on then do the sways, exhaust/tp's myself.

sways aren't bad and truthfully the springs aren't really all that bad either. You'll need to borrow a spring compressor and if you have access to a lift it will be even easier.
They do take a few hours to instal which is where the price comes into play with a shop. easy task but takes time=shop hours.
it could be done in an afternoon at home with a spring compressor. Even faster on a lift. catch me on a weekend i'm free from studying and i'll be more than happen to give you a hand. Maybe by then i'll have my tools down here. As of now it's too hard to transport my entire shop down here to fit it in a 1 car garage. i would at minimum need a flatbed trailer for my toolbox.
