Here is the SFZCC caravan info for all of us going up to Z Fest in Orlando this Friday. Early registration for this years Z Fest is over, however, you can still register at Z Fest itself on Saturday morning, or Friday night at the Hooters Z Meet after the caravan arrives in Orlando.

This year looks to be the biggest Z Fest to date!!! Z you there!!!

Friday (2/25) Z Fest Caravan Timeline:

Dade Co. Z's:
Meet location: Tropical Park.
Meet Time: 12:30 pm
Departure Time: 1:00 pm

Broward Co. Z's:
Meet Location: Pompano Turnpike Plaza just North of Commercial Blvd.
Meet Time: 1:45 pm
Departure Time: 2:15 pm

Palm Beach Co. Z's:
Meet Location: WPB Turnpike Plaza just North of the Lake Work Exit.
Meet Time: 2:30 pm
Departure Time: 3:00 pm

Martin/St. Lucie Co. Z's:
Meet Location: I-95 St. Lucie West Exit (BP Gas Station-next to Wendy's)
Meet Time: 3:45 pm
Departure Time: 4:30 pm

FYI:

* The St. Lucie West Exit will be our final gas and rest stop before departing straight thru to Orlando.
* Our route will be I-95 North, then 528 (Beeline) West into Orlando (be prepared to pay $1.25 in tolls).
* Estimated time of arrival in Orlando (Hooters Z Meet) will be 6:30 pm.
* Your hotel check-in can be done before/during or after the Hooters Z Meet. The hotel is a 1/2 mile South from Hooters.

For Z's leaving for Z Fest on Saturday (2/26) please keep in mind that the Z Fest starts parking at 9:30 am, and the Show N' Shine will begin at 10:00 am. So please plan your trip up accordingly. It has been and still is recommended to join the main caravan up on Friday, or travel up later that Friday night to get an early jump on activities at Z Fest Saturday morning (registration, clean Z, etc.)

Hooters Friday Night 2/25

Show up around 6pm. We'll have a table setup for you late procrastinators so you can register.

We'll hang out as late as everyone wants.

Car Show Day 2/26

Times and activities:

Registration begins at 8:30am at Heroes
Judging starts at 10:30am (may be changed to 9:30am) get there early! All cars need to be parked by 9:30am!
Awards ceremony at Heroes starts around 6:00pm. Plan to stay for dinner!
Raffles and prizes will be done throughout the day so plan on being there!

Tech Sessions on 2/26 during the car show... look for the tents!
1. Rick Bowers tech talk on Engine Management and tuning 1pm (time subject to change listen for announcements)

Other Tech sessions are being planned and will be posted as they are confirmed.

The Dyno is cancelled .... sorry, no vendors had a mobile dyno in the area. If one becomes available we'll try to book it.

There will be a Z Caravan that goes down to Port Canaveral on Saturday after judging and tech session are complete (tentatively at 2pm). This will be a great opportunity to cruiZe to a waterside bar/restaurant with a LONG line of Z cars! Please join us! We will have ample time to return to Heroes for the 6pm awards banquet. We are going to a waterside bar/restaurant called Grills.

The live band starts playing at Heroes at 9:30pm. Heroes will have discounted food and beverage throughout the day for Z Fest registrants.

AutoX 2/27
Event Location: Ocala Gran Prix http://www.ocalagranprix.com
Time: All drivers should arrive at 8:30am for a drivers meeting and to help setup
Tech inspection starts at 8:45
AutoX starts at 9am the track closes at 6pm
Cart racing will be available during the lunch break(12pm-1pm) for an additional fee paid directly to the track
Refreshments/lunch/food are available at the facility next door to the track (within walking distance)

 

Please add the caravan leaving from Fort Walton Beach FL, Meeting Place is IHOP on HWY 98. Leaving at 9 A.M. Sharp. Friday Feb 25th. 12 cars in the caravan so far.

Will there be a reduction in the price or a sub for this?????

 

I am not sure if you are serious but registration is only $22-32 depending on club affiliation and preregistration and 2 dollars is going to the Special Olympic Florida, so I don't know what you expected.

Besides the Dyno would have been made accesible and the cost for those runs would have been separate like the Autox is, dyno runs when done in a club environement usually cost 40 bucks or so.

Lets be optimistic, the forecast if for afternoon scatterred showers and only 40-50% chance of that, so you know how it is here, it could be raining on one side of town and sunny on the other.
