Just made my reservations!

When is everyone arriving? I'm assuming there will be a caravan going. It would be kewl to have a long line of cars. I made my reservations to arrive on Thurs. (wanted to get there early), but can change if everyone is going on Friday.

I'm in central NC, again, when is everyone going? Lil, mcduck, etc...???

I have to be there Thursday, but then I'm part of the group setting up the event. Most attendees will probably roll in Friday afternoon and early evening.

Let me guess, ok?

One of us will get really drunk, stay out all night hunting, drive a fire truck back to the cabins in the morning, and then continue to drink until late afternoon the following day?

Now here is the good part, that same person would then need batteries........ * I don't want to give the rest away *

Does it also involve a hand written note, a phone call from the Crawford Boys, and a Gas Powered Blender?

Am I close Andy?

Good times, count me in!!!

Morris:
Sounds like the momentum this year is 'mounting faster than last year. If growth is exponential, will there be enough room? I'm planning to return this year, and I understand more are expected from Upstate Z Club this year. "Jmark" has just recently joined up, and he's planning to bring two cars.

Mark:
E-mail me and I'll help you figure out how to get both cars there...twice the fun! BUT, ...If I had to choose, I believe I'd bring the '78.

See ya there,
Robert

Robert, I think there will be plenty of room, but I hope we have a huge turn out and find out what capacity is up in the mountains.

There will be room. If Fontana Village Resort reaches capacity (they have 100+ cabins and rooms), i have a few other locations I can contact for overflow.

if it comes to that, I'll post contact information to reserve rooms offsite, but Fontana Village Resort is our host site and we will continue to push staying onsite until they reach near capacity.

Hey Andy:
I's being facetious! I ain't worried, I knows you gonna take care of us.
Now, if we wuz to run outta room, wouldn't that be nice?

I talked to Jeanie, at Fontanna, last night and she believes the reservations are coming in a little quicker than last year, but she did mention that they would not be holding out reserved blocks of rooms past February 15th. Although I wouldn't expect an overflow crowd from the general public (based on observations last year), I would encourage those who plan to attend to go ahead and make reservations. I'm looking forward to an even bigger gathering this year!

We'll Z ya in May,
Robert

so let me get this straight...

can my cousin and his 240sx come since it technically is bred off the z line ( i think) or are we trying just to keep Z cars only?

Andy can probably give more insite on this than I can...I am sure he will chime in.

I understand this to be an event that is advertized as a Z event, but last time we had several non Z friends that came as well -- a BMW * Grumbles *, Porsche, and Lightning.

I say use your own judgement. If he is "good people" invite him!! I would much rather hang with a nice and responsible person than an a**hole that owns a specific kind of car.

what Bini said...

Anyone who wants to show up and bask in the Z-ness is welcome, but we prefer attendees who can have fun without acting like fools.

I should also note activities are geared around Z owners. Don't expect to see car show classes for Maximas or SXs.

Bini2.... "on lik" ???

I confirmed my hotel res for Friday. Sounnds like fun....it will be my first Z Day event since moving here last summer.

My car should be up and running strongly by then......and from what I understand....there are no tunnels of dooms at the Tail...correct?

No tunnels of doom.

Look forward to seeing you and your car there.

Hey Andy, any update yet on what the secret "social" event is going to be?

I certainly hope things end better than the first mountain drive we took you on! No, no the Tunnel of Doom is not even close... but, I think the survivors need to go there on the way home and pay tribute to the fallen (Austin's 240Z turbo is still not back on the road yet).

Bini2... nothing to post yet on the Secret Social event. We have about finalized it, but that will be the topic for an upcoming newsletter. For now, people will just have to live in suspence!
