Saturday, November 12th will be the return of Beach blast. This is one day beach run with a poker run, fun stops, great roads and activities, and ending with a good meal and a possible bonfire.

What beach do you go to?

 

This will start in Wilmington, most likely at the USS NC. We will then proceed to Kure beach, and then Southport. We will end up at a Ranch back in Wilmington.

 

Sounds cool. I'm interested if I'm not out of town. That date sounds like the time frame I'll be in Miami. I need to check my schedule.

Hey guys... quick update... with the weather this weekend (Oct 8th)... we may end up using this event as a 'rain date' for the 11th Annual NC Z Car Show that will most likely be a complete wash out.

We are still working out the details... but please try to keep this date open - no matter what happens, it should be a BLAST!! woo HOO!!

BTW... the ranch we'll be ending up at is in Castle Haine - plenty of field for parking, nice big garage/barn, and of course, it wouldn't be an event without some good food... local guys cookin' a pig!!

Just tried..

 

I can't promise anything, but several were interested in a beach run and it never materialized. We had 5 or 6 that were going to make the drive to Durham tomorrow if the weather had held out. I would think we would have at least that many for the Beach Blast.

If and when you guys make it official, I can float it out to our members and see how many people want to sign on. For us, it would most certainly be an overnighter. Any thoughts on setting up a host hotel for the event (the Beach Blast) for those who want to arrive the night before or stay the night after?

 

I can make it, I'll probably make a weekend out of it. Sounds fun.

 

This event is getting larger, and we may have more items on the agenda than originally planned. Stay tune for more details.
