The Show details are up, and the Poker Run is set to start 10:00 Sunday Morning.

 

Looks like I'll be riding with Andy. Damm ya'll get things started early in the morning tho.

I might as well not sleep at all rather than the short nap I'll be getting. Lots O coffee on the road, just wander if Andy will let me drive through all of that traffic



I think I know the answer to that already tho

 

#1... to answer Andy's question from earlier... there is no charge for Sunday's activities

#2... there are still 5 rooms for Saturday night that need to be reserved in order to get the discount. If you need a room Saturday night, please call the Innkeeper (look on page 1) and use one of the listed confirmation numbers.

#3... weather is going to be spectacular! Upper 60s in Durham on Saturday, lower-mid 70s in Wilmington on Sunday... can't beat it!

#4... the show is shaping up to be huge! So far we've got people coming from every club in the state... and hopefully some out of state people as well. We've even got guys driving from Wilmington to Durham and back! Now thats dedication! lol Pizza and refreshmenst will be provided at the show, BoJangles will be provided at the start of the poker run in Wilmington, and of course, we'll be cooking a pig and some chickens when everyone gets back that afternoon.

Well it looks like I will be at the show at least. Got an alignment appointment with RPM at 9:00 Sat. morning since I just installed my springs last night. See you guys there.

2. Take exit 408 toward ROCKY POINT/MOORES CREEK NAT'L BATTLEFIELD/HAMPSTEAD - go 0.3 mi
3. Turn right on NC-210 - go 0.2 mi
4. Turn left on US-117 - go 7.0 mi
5. Turn right on MARATHON AVE - go 1.0 mi
6. Arrive at 3451 MARATHON AVE, CASTLE HAYNE, on the right

2nd stop -11:00 and 11:30
3rd 12:00 and 12:30.
4th stop 1:00-1:30.
The 5th and final stop is back at the Farm. This is where we will have a
small bonfire and dinner ready. Arrival times will start 2:30, late lunch
to start at 3:00 and prizes to be awarded shortly after.

The actual route will be disclosed at the Williams' farm.

There is an informal get together Saturday night. A think people are just getting together to eat and hang out.

Hey everyone... just a bump and a reminder about tomorrow...

Sounds like we're going to have a few diehards in Wilmington Sunday morning... I'll be there, although I will not have a car

Weather will be absolutely gorgeous, better than today if thats
possible (lower-mid seventies!) We will start the day at 10:00 at Bain William's house
(directions from I-40 below.) There you will receive your first card. From
there, we will go to three of Wilmington's most beautiful places for a
Sunday drive... at each place you will receive another card, then we will
return to Bain's ranch to hang out and eat some good food (pig/chicken
pickin)... we will then see who has the best hands using the five cards they
have, and we will be awarding prizes accordingly.

BTW... Bain does have neighbors, so when you arrive at his street, and when we leave after the day is done, please be courteous... no foolin around, no squealing tires, etc etc. We want to be able to do this every year, and I really don't want to **** off his neighbors (I've been told the ricer's like to play around there, and there have been a few instances of neighbors trying to 'get back' at them one way or another.)

If you aren't interested in doing the poker run, but you want to come hang out for the pig pickin... be at the William's farm around 2:00... thats when we'll all start arriving back at the ranch.

Thanks to you and the other guys from the Triangle and Triad Z Clubs for a great show yesterday. Nice turnout, nice weather and nice Z cars! You couldn't ask for more than that. Also thanks to Michael Jordan Nissan for being a great host. Its hard to have an event like that without support from a dealer.

I forgot my camera yesterday. Hopefully someone will post some pictures from the event since it seemed like everyone else there was taking pictures.

I hope you guys have fun on the poker run today. Sorry but I couldn't do both with other obligations at home. I didn't realize until I read Stacy's post above that you were meeting at Bain Williams' house. I met him several years ago at a car show here in Greenville. Does he still have that bad a$$ Z32 twin turbo? That thing is something else.

Also nice to finally meet Andy and Sharif in person, not to mention getting to see their cars in person. Boy are they something to see and hear.

i didn't get to make it to the meet or drive, but i rode through the innkeeper last night and i would like to say to playa with the black z and black volk's nice f$cking ride. anyhow i had to move sat and sun. the place i moved into was half soaking wet. the floor above us a sprunk a leak and we basically got a bigger place for the same price. of course it took a little finese

 

Jay? I think you are talking about Robin's (buzzardmountain) Z. You should see the inside. Custon fabbed parts everywhere and a sound system that rocks. I am going to try to darken my rear lights like his and also take the amber off my headlights like on his. Thanks everyone for the great time today. Rob.
