Default Final Tail of the Dragon Run Nov 12-13th

Zachcrosen and I are planning an end-of-season run through the Tail of the Dragon. This will probably be the last time to make this trip, before the cold season sets in.

The plan is to arrive on Sat, the 12th, and run all day Sat, and Sunday, before heading home. We'll be staying at the Fontana Village Resort again.

Attendees:

1) sharif@forged
2) Zachcrosen

Have fun guys. Hope the weather holds out for you.

I know several Carolina Z Club folks will be making the trek to the Triangle/Triad Z show and beach run that same weekend.

Hey Zach, we might want to hold off on making reservations, to see how the weather holds up. I'll try to call them and see how availability looks, and maybe we can book at the last minute. I just dont want anyone to waste money if its a total washout.

Weather is hit and miss. It will definitely be cold, the question mark is whether there will be an precip. FYI, there's a reason no one schedules group events after the end of October. ( http://www.tailofthedragon.com/calendar.html )

Thanks for pointing out the obvious Andy.....we are just trying our best to squeeze in one more mountain run before the end of the year. If the weather doesnt cooperate, its not the end of the world.

Sharif you have an extremely strong case...prolly not this year, but next season, i definetely want to go with ya'll. I've never been and i heard its great man....by the way, if you remember seein my black G, you know it was pretty stock, but i just had the interior painted a beautiful and classy cranberry red as the brembos will be too. Not to mention i just ordered Kenstyle Kit, should be here in about 2 months. So im start to do all the stuff that i told you i hadnt gotten the chance to do yet. And i know what you are going to say....go forced induction!!! i know i know, i want to but college incomes aren't exactly the most, but im headed towards it soon. I have done a good bit of research on the APS TT and i love the way it sounds. Any more info on it you can give me would be great....hope ur doin well in the queen city....later

All I know is the weather in Raleigh/Durham on Saturday and Wilmington on Sunday is going to be prefect! ... upper 60s Saturday, mid 70s Sunday... Obviously, this will be a much more leisurely drive... but good people, and really good food...

Oh yeah... have we mentioned yet that the grand prize for the poker run is a free track event entry for 2006?
