Default Georgia and Alabama drag strip meet......

I will be at Steele on Sunday, Nov. 20th, weather permitting.

I would like to take the opportunity to invite all G and Z owners from the area to attend. It's only $10 get in the gate and free to race. This is the quickest track in this part of the country, from my experience.

Lets make it a meet.

The track is open from 4pm until 9pm Central Standard Time.

It's about 7 miles SW of Gadsden Alabama, off of I-59, the Steele exit, or 45 minutes NE of Birmingham.

what's up Warren. I'll try to be there. I was supposed to be headed to North Carolina for a We-Todd event run by the ITR guys on Honda-Tech, but I may end up staying in bham that weekend.

p.s., I may drag Todd with me. PM me your number.

Time change, with the shorter and cooler days. The track will now be open from 1pm - 5pm CST.

The Atlanta area people will be meeting at the Varsity at 11am, for a caravan to Steele. We will hit the road from there at 11:15 am sharp.

Update, the weather looks perfect for the event. Low 60's, high pressure, low humidity.

Tomorrow is the big day, and it looks like the chance of showers will hold off until tomorrow night, well after the track has closed.

Remember Atlanta people that are interested in caravaning, we meet up at 11am in the Varsity parking lot. The track opens at 1pm CST, racing runs until 5pm, and the cost is only $10 per adult to get in. Racing is free.

I had a great time and it was nice meeting everyone!

I assume some of you didn't get lost going home, as my phone didn't ring.

Haha nope, your directions were spot on... Also sorry we did want to eat with ya'll but after a day of the strip we were getting pretty tired so thought it was best to head for home.

Also I know we had a good time and I understand why some of the Georgia folks are willing to roll to Bama for some runs

My third trip to a strip, but my second running my car... Well also the first being boosted... Stock tires, stock clutch, and lack of experience def. was not being good to me haha.

Oh well next trip we shall see, and also I don't feel so bad since Tig best was also 13.5 lol.
