Theirs one tonight actually. Its at Seminole H.S. They have a autox and car meet. Their was some pretty nice cars at the last one i went to. It cost $5 to get in. Autox is $40 for 5 runs... Their is a younger crowd but also some older folk like myself. I may roll up there at some point. Goes till 11

Just recently had a rebuild of my motor. Wiseco forged pistons .020 overbore, k1 forged connecting rods, motor was balanced and blueprinted, arp L19 head bolts, Jim Wolfe block cooling mod, HR oil pump, water pump, and thermostat. Existing mods are a greddy twin turbo setup, fuel lab fuel system, full exhaust, and an OS Giken triple plate clutch.

My question is, the shop said I need to get an oil change within a few hundred miles because metal shavings and such could get in the motor. They said I can't just shock the motor and put full synthetic oil in. What do I do in this situation. And no, I can't call the shop that built it

 

I think you go synthetic at the 3rd oil change. You probly want to research it more or ask in the forced induction section. I changed mine at 500, 1500, and was going to go synthetic at 3000 but ran into problems.

 

What problems did you run into?

 

either my piston rings didnt set right or my turbo is blown

 

Oh ok. Yea I had both my turbos rebuilt. And I heard that's why you can't put synthetic in right away, cus the rings won't set

 

the oil needs to have zinc-somthing in it.. im wondering about opening up the turbo to clean it out but that would kill any core charge if i buy a new center cartridge. turbo only has 10k miles

Yeah only 3 or 4 nice ones. I was the white one parked towards the beginning.

 

I think I did see yours maybe leaving the place. I saw 2 z leaving when I was getting there and both waved at me but I guess no one couldn't see my hands cause of my tint. I parked because at the end where u have to go in a circle.

Sidenote are u one of the guys that took a pic of a red white and blue zs ?

 

Haha yes I am! All three of us were there today and we were driving together on the way out until the red one pulled off to wait for a friend.
