For AutoX:
We have one of the most active SCCA and AutoX regions in the country, Check out both Triad and Tarheel scca clubs. The only problem is there a lot of national competitors locally you have to compete against.

For Drag Strips you have:
The big one is Rockingham (a national NHRA track)
Then there are two more I can not remember
Then there a few 1/8 tracks.

 

What are you refering to when you say compete? i dont drive as a sport just as a hobbie so the extent of competition for me is the occasional drag strip and track for fun. (which once i move im sure ill be at either or every weekend) Or is that what you mean by competition?

 

I mean our SCCA region is one of the most competitive regions around with several national level drivers (and 4 current Champions).

And please don't street race.

Meetings are 1st Thursday of each Month at the Lonestar in Cary (near Cary Pkwy on Kildaire Farm Rd)... you can join there, or just hang out for a bit

 

Are you sure about the Triangle Z club? Are you saying they aren't taking new members? That doesn't sound right......

I assume you guys are all at zDayz this weekend, wish I could have gone, but I am interested in any kind of cruises or events that you do around Raleigh...
