Hope to have more of us Z owners out there this time. It's at the A1A and JTB Hooters. We have 5 confirmed and we'll be there around 4, so we can all park together. It's an event with over 100 cars showing up, ranging from Z's to vintage. I wonder if any of the new evos will show up.

 

Who has confirmed besides Troutfishin2 and me? Will we have a 350Z there that is not CS or DB?

 

Joe with the 280, dave with the 300, have confirmed.
If troutfisin2 can get a couple of his co-workers to come, there'll be a PPW and a RL.
Can Jessielude help us contact other 350Z owners?

 

Do any of you 3 have a white Z? I saw one behind me on my way to work this morning going down San Pablo.

I won't have my Brickyard Touring until 2/9 (Mike Shad Orange Park), but I'll show up with my 1998 200sx SE for it's last tour of Jacksonville. I'm looking forward to taking on the Buckman as I bring my car from OP to Mandarin and we're going to have a chase car (330ci) follow me with video. Hope there's no FHP waiting on the "other" side.

My car came in 3 weeks early!!!!!!


Almost too early since my old car is sold but not til next week.....;-)

I'm picking th car up Saturday morning (1/25) and I'm looking forward to the meeting Saturday evening @ Hooters.


Life has been good to me today.... Take the rest of the afternoon off.

If you see a SB or RL or LS on the road, flag em down and tell them to come on saturday.

 

Well, my wife and I are going to go visit our Brickyard Z tonight, however I'm not going to take delivery till Saturday "day" so I can check the paint and other items that might not show up at night if there are any problems, I would rather address them right then and there before I leave the car lot.

Then it's over the Buckman Bridge - however I must remember the proper "break-in" time.

In spite of the cold, we are going to have a good time Saturday night. I dropped my car off this morning for its first oil change and ran into Jessica (Jessielube). She's going to try her best to be there Saturday also.

The turnout for Z's was very encouraging. It's definitely starting to pick steam. The turnout was : 4 DBs, 1 CS, 1 PPW, 1 Gray 300ZX, 1 Brown 280Z.
A 240 and a 300TT was supposed to come but didn't.

KBSIG didn't show up with his spanking new BY. What's happenning KBSIG? Did you get your car?

The turnout for other cars wasn't as good as last months, due to the cold snap.

We'll see everyone at next months cruisein.

Picked it up at 11 am 1/25


I showed up at 6:10 and saw (3) DB's (1) CS and (1) PPW as well as the 300zx and the 280z. I parked behind the PPW and walked over to Hooters. I asked the waitress where the Z owners were and she gave me a strange look and said "somewhere inside". So I waited at my car till about 6:50 when a Silver G35 coupe showed up and then I had to go see my in-laws for dinner and I had to leave.


Mike Shad OP's General Sales Manager would like to sponsor a meeting some time for the 350 owners even if you didn't buy your car for them. I've got his card and who should I pass his information on to?

I don't know how we missed you, and the G35. The hooters service SUCKED this time, and we were either waiting for beer, wings, fries or the check...forever. And don't ask Hooters waitresses about Z's. They'll think you're with MIB
Why don't you start a new thread about a MikeShad meeting, and ask all the regional guys to rsvp with the tentative weekends.
I'm open on any Saturday eve.

 

I'll post a message in regards to Mike Shad's offer. I'm sure we could meet at the same Hooters or even the one on San Jose - they're offering to pick up the cost of wings or something along those lines. Yeah, a G35 coupe parked in the lane with the PT Cruiser's and the Viper/Prowler.

 

The service was so slow in Hooters, we almost missed Sea Call with his DB also. He was just driving off as we got out of the restaurant.

A meeting set up just for the 350Z owners sounds like a good idea. I look forward to hearing from you guys as to the time and place.

 

When I go out to Mike Shad next week, I'll speak with the GSM to see what options they are open to. Then I'll post an update and see if any one has any extra ideas. It might be a slow mover, but they seemed genuine in their offer to sponsor a meeting.

I think a 350 group for the NE Fla area would be great.

So we'll see. Until then, look for me in the Sunbeam Rd/San Jose/Baymeadows Rd area.

IMO, I think we should include all Z owners in a club, because it will lend itself to the past heritage of the Z.
