Default Cape Fear Z Club Meeting Feb. 2nd

The first (resurrected) Cape Fear Z Club meeting will be at Blue Water Grill in Wilmington, NC (Wrightsville Beach area) on Thursday, February 2nd. I figure we can meet between 6:30 and 7:00 pm. We have a private room that will accommodate 25 (I’m hoping at least 5 to 10 people will show up ).

Directions:
Hwy. 74E towards Wrightsville Beach
As soon as you cross over the drawbridge look for your first right hand turn
Make that right, and another immediate right so you are headed toward the water
Make your next left, and Blue Water is on the right
There is a huge parking lot in front of the building to the left
The address & phone number are as follows for anyone that wants “map quest” it or call for directions: 4 Marina St., Wrightsville Beach, NC (910-256-8500)

If you plan to attend, please PM me or send me and e-mail at myra13adams@yahoo.com Also, please include your e-mail address if you PM me as well as a contact number so that I can reach you in the event that there is a change in plans.

I plan to discuss monthly meeting spots & times (if the current set up is not suitable), upcoming events, logo ideas, plans & ideas for membership and anything else you guys and/or gals would like to talk about.

I hope everyone in the area is able to attend (we need members)! See you there!
Myra

I'll be there!! hopefully with one or two tag-alongs as well.

I for one and very excited about it... even though I'm 1-1/2 hours away, I don't mind the drive every once in a while.

Hope to meet a few more of you then!

Default New Bern To Wilmington----

Stacy, I'll be leaving from the industrial park in Clarks..... hope to leave a little early. Maybe I'll pass ya on the way. Look for a crowd of Zs heading to Wilmington from three out of four of the compass points.

Chances are, I'll meet up with Bain in Castle Hayne, and proceed to the meeting from there. If anyone else heading that way (new bern to Jacksonville to Hwy 24 to Castle Hayne) feel free to PM me or post here to set up a caravan or something. I'll probably leave New Bern just after work, around 5:30

If it was on a weekend....I'd be all over coming out there for the meeting. Unfortunatly....from Charlotte that's a hike and a half and I still have to go to work the next morning.

Good luck! I hope the turn out is good. Seems like there's a lot of interested people.

Historically... weekend nights suk for monthly club meetings... maybe things are changing, but you'll get more regular people attending the meetings on a weeknight. Most people have plans on weekend nights that will generally superceed any car club get-together

Blue Water would be packed on a Friday as well. It is a very popular large restuarant with several bars on the water at Wrightsville Beach.

You guys are funny.

I appreciate everyone that is driving from far away places to attend our first meeting! I would have loved to have it on a weekend night, but Stack is right. The organizations I have belonged to have their meetings durring the week for the same reason... no one shows up on a weekend because they have "better" things to do. But any events we host or attend would certainly be on a weekend.

I hope the weather stays nice for us so that everyone can make it. If everyone does come, we will have at least 9 people so far:
Stack
Bain
Ken (from Wilmington Nissan)
tfbz
K.Taylor (+2?)
Robby Colli
M3racer36
The Barron
Me

Not too shabby for our first meeting. I wonder where all the local z's are? I see tons in the shop at Nissan being worked on all of the time. Maybe once we get going I could ask the service guys there to spread the word about the club for us.

Oh, and Thanks to everyone for all of your support! I look forward to meeting everyone!
