This event will be Florida's first State-wide Z Meet! This "Z Fest" event will be an event that will be carried out once a year for all Z owners/clubs to participate in, so this is Z history in the making!

The idea is that each Z club will drive into Orlando from their respective areas on Saturday morning, and get together with the other clubs and form a large Z car show that day. Other possible plans include getting together for a social dinner, and maybe taking in an area attraction (ie Disney, MGM, Universal, etc…) as a group. Other plans for that weekend could also include a dyno session, Show n' Shine contest, and a large "Z cruise". A group rate at the Marriott Hotel (for Saturday night) could also apply. No agenda has been finalized to date.

Ok, in MY 2003 calendar the 28th is a Monday (middle of the week??) so we are having the BDay party the 26th which is the sat before, which is also the sat you selected.

Maybe I can work this out. Orlando is a more "central" location to have the party, it will make it easier if we go up there, and at least maybe I can have part of sat or Sunday to join you guys...

BTW, I'll be at Towers. I won't be at Sebring (sorry).

 

I'll be there with my DB Track and my son's 84 Turbo. Look for the only 84 with HRE wheels and that's us.

I may go... I wonder if I4 from Tampa to Orlando is still a construction nightmare? I haven't been on it in a while.

 

I dont know about I4 but here is a preliminary agenda. More details as to costs and hotel rates to follow:

April 25, 2003 - Friday evening

Marriott Courtyard in Maitland
7:00 to 9:00 - early registration. We will welcome everyone and provide maps, information, etc.. This will be time to meet and greet and have some social time.

April 26, 2003

9:30 to 2:00 - Z Car Show and Shine. We will also look at having lunch during this period. This will probably be held at the hotel. During this period, we also will look at having a swap meet, some tech discussions, and other activities while the show and shine is going on.

3:00 to 6:00 - Road Rally. Take off through the back country of Cental Florida for some fun behind the wheel.

6:00 - ?? - Award Dinner. We are looking at a private venue for a catered Bar-B-Que dinner. We also will be presenting the awards and discussing next steps for future events. Good time for all.

April 27, 2003

10:30 - 1:00 - Brunch at Race Rock on International Drive before everyone heads home.

 

Ok things are moving and commitment is needed so please contact one of the individuals listed on the first post at the top and let them know that you will be attending and need a room. They have hotel rates locked in at $60 for Saturday night (and Friday for those who might come in early), and like I said firm commitment is needed. Cost for the evnet has been finalized but will be low, probably under 50 bucks as most will be pay on your own.

So lets go and confirm.

 

Larry Johnson, President of Langka, http://www.langka.com has agreed to provide samples of their product to attendees of this event. He is shipping them to me and I will bring them to pass out. This will allow each club member the opportunity to try their unique DIY Paint Chip Repair product (LANGKA...The Blob Eliminator), free of charge!.

Hopefully all will be pleased with the product. Langka only asks that we pass the word on our experiences with the product to other auto enthusiasts.

Is the Shine & Show event going to be held at Race Rock on International drive? Does it start at 10:00am? Also I sent in my registration but did not pay to be in the show. If I decide to enter that morning does it look like there will be room for one more 350Z? Thanks and I hope this event turns out great.

 

Yes the meet and Show n Shine are in the same place we will be all day at Race Rock Cafe.

I think that if you registered for the meet you will be in the same area as the show and that the cars in the show will just be judged so room should not be an issue you just pay to enter the show competition which is 15.00 on Saturday.

 

is there not a north florida z car club? Can i go if i am not in a z car club? if so i would like to try and make it down there. are there any north fl z owners that might be interested in meeting up somewhere and driving down to orlando? let me know.
