Rain with traction control off = BAD!!!
So after work this evening i was heading to the gym with a buddy. Well, on our way out of the work place i turn traction control off to do a nice lil burn out for some people. Did that and went on my way totally forgetting it's still off (too much excitement) BIG mistake.. I've never owned a coupe like this one and had no idea how easy it is for the tail-end of these things to come out from behind ya.
Going through an intersection i sped up through the turn and immediately notice something is wrong after noticing that i was facing the traffic that was behind me
and then doing a total 360 and finding myself over a curb and on the enbankment. Needless to say my baby is hurting and i will never make that mistake again
. No body damage but the rear axle is gone along with some other key components to the rolling of a wheel. I took two pictures with my phone of the rear wheel on my driver side since that was where the damage was

Glad you and others are ok, car can be fixed.
Welcome to driving a Z. Traction control is your friend. But be careful, when it's raining, she can still snap around quicker than TC can catch her. Good luck!

Yeah you gotta be careful. I spun out last week and that was WITH the TC on. Luckily it was late and no traffic, so i didnt hit a thing, just freaked me out. But then a week later some guy hit my front fender and kept going. I just got my Z back today. Youre in for a helluva time while your waiting for it to get fixed! ugh glad youre ok tho.

lol.. that's wild. I think you're the first person i've met on some car forums to actually live in clemmons or close to winston for that matter. We'll have to get a meet going.. Just not when it's raining please. Haha.

those guys do one almost every month.
the Z turn out is like 2-3 usually so all the more Zs the better

That's exactly why I don't turn my VDC off in normal driving situations. I have had it step in several times when I got a little out of control. I have a friend who turns his off every time he gets in the car. He says its Big Brother. I keep telling him it is a fantastic safety feature in every day driving situations.
I am glad you didn't have any more serious issues than you did.
