cool hdr images

I have never been able to get good results from the HDR feature in PS CS3. What are u using to render the HDR images? also, how many photos do you usually take in order to properly be able to render an HDR image. I was told that you should take at least shot doubling you exposure on each successive shot.

thanks

I use photomatix for HDR editing. Even the snap in for PS to do HDR is photomatix. I take one picture that looks good, then take either 3 or 5 more that are 1 level apart positive and negative. Like: -2,-1,0,+1,+2.

I do it the ghetto way- using one picture, making two copies in photoshop after adjusting exposure to +2 and -2. then tweak.

then use that same photomatrix or whatever its called program to tweak.

^ That is actually not a bad way to do it. That is how most photographers HDR a moving object, like a rolling shot. Ive read that if you take 5 to 7 shots in RAW and combine them that you get a awesome picture. Never tried it though...

I see you lurking in here westpak

I need a video camera man for Sebring on Sunday. All expenses paid. Sunday 10am til 5pm. Generally a 1 hour drive from the treasure coast. You get a ride pass and can drvie with any of the solo drivers around the track as much as you want. Very cool cars will be there Sunday. I saw a Jaguar XJ220 will be there. Post up here or pm me if interested.

Bring your helmet or you can get a loaner at the track.
