engine power cut
Tonight I was unlucky enough to be driving through some heavy rain, with the traction control off. As many of you know, I have a vented CF hood. Well, I have the hood set up so that the heat shield fits flush with the hood, so that the vents do not allow water to touch or contact the intake cone. This keeps the cone dry ALWAYS no matter how much it pours.
Unfortunately, I experienced power losses tonight - the motor during throttle would cut back the throttle and jerk the car back. I experienced this a few times when giving the car lots of gas in the rain. It was not traction control - because i had VDC switched off...So I am wondering - is water getting to another component that controls throttle etc? and if so - how do I protect it.
I live in FL - and it rains like hell here...so I need to fix this prob.
no Check engine light btw - and the car runs fine.
