It would probably be about 6 hours worth of labor to install headers. If you come to CIN you're looking at about 360.00 to get it done. Let me know if that suits you.

There's a DIY on here. It seems like more trouble than it's worth.

it looks that way, i ve heard 3 hours to install,6,two days,etc...i dont have a garage(townhome) and its against the rules to work in the parking lot, and im roughly new to the area, so this just keeps getting worse

360 is pretty fair, if you want headers that should be the direction you go.

i guess what is killing me is how much i paid for the headers themselves. install is almost twice as much compared to what they cost

i know everyone has been frowning on the dealer idea. however, Modern Nissan in Winston Salem is giving 20% off to Triangle Z Club members. And all you have to do to be a member is sign up. They have also agreed to pay for a one year membership to whomever wants it. No obligations. I signed up for the freebie membership and to meet some Z people. 20% is a good chunk off of 400 bucks. Plus you will get a 12/12k warranty from a dealer.

Food for thought.

You are right about Modern and the discount except it is the TRIAD Z Club that gets the discount.

i would help you but i would never do a header install again unless it was for myself. Trust me, 360 is cheap for what is involved. I did it on a lift as well. I still have some scars from the install.

So there is a dealership that will install after market parts that aren't NISMO and offer a warranty?? I find that incredibly hard to believe.

I gotta laugh when I hear comments like this. The dealer has highly trained mechanics who know the car and are quite capable of modifying it. The dealer has a set $ per hour charge just like any other shop.

If you can't afford to pay, you shouldn't play. I wouldn't take my car to someone to work on just cause it was cheaper.

Theres maybe..2 guys at the dealership who are highly trained. Atleast at the dealership I bought my car from (and where my friend works- Hes in the know) The rest are 17-25 year old grease monkeys.

$360 is a good price. This performance shop here would charge me $600 for over 6 hours of labor time.

i can afford to play princess, its just some of the responses from places i called were crazy. $600 for install for 3-4 hours of work sounds a little high. luckily i found someone to come through for $200 and i ended up knowing the guy, master mechanic at a dealership in high point. thanks to all who replied

You statement is very general and unsubstantiated. The dealer I use wouldn't put someone on the job that couldn't do the work.
Would you? Too much liability.
