So Im relocating to Jax sometime in March. Ive only been there a few times in 07 for business purposes. Relocating due to my company realignment and to take on a different role.
So what I need help with is recommended Apts/condo/townhouse close to Freedom Crossing Rd zip 32256. Looking for 20-25 min max commute time. What is this area called? What I need is a 2bdrm with an attached garage. Garage is a must. My 07 350z and 07 CBR1000RR never sleep outside.
Im flying out this weekend to take a look at places.Budget preferably under $1200. Dont want a house because I travel way to much and too risky for breakin.
Any help is appreciated ----- future neighbors.

That is the Southside area of Jacksonville. Baymeadows is where I would suggest starting your search. Preferably close to 9A, there are a few developments. Look over by the new Dodge dealership for a ton of places for rent. There are townhomes, condos, and apt's to choose from. My suggestion would be to head up 9A to the University of North Florida exit and check out the new places located behind the new Town Center Mall. I just signed for a house in Ponte Vedra this past weekend but am currently in one of the condos in the Town Center. They are very nice, have garages, and are within your 20 mile radius. The only negative with the Esplanade is that it is a multi-level parking garage, not a single detached garage. Either way, if you need some listings feel free to PM me, I have a realtor who will send you listings for free via email if you would like. Good luck in your search!
I live right by 9a & Baymeadows area. Most of the nicer places are around that area close to gate parkway and towncenter. Plenty of apts/condos/townhomes around there in your price range. Where's this Freedom Crossing rd? Phillips and Baymeadows? I know someone who might be renting out a 2br townhouse w/ garage soon so let me know if you don't find something.
try looking at the jacksonville craigslist first. for $1200 you should be able to find a 2/2 or 3/2 townhouse in the 32256 zip code. also check the 32258, 32257 and 32216 zip codes they are close by as well.
what company you coming to work for wamu? bcbs?

Thanks for the advice jax residents. Well I flew in to jax on Friday and was welcomed with near record high pine pollen and other airborne junk.So i was pretty much bed ridden and didnt get to look at very many places after Sat afternoon.
Ok apartments-townhouses are pretty much out of the question. Garages are TINY even in the $1400-$1500 units.
So I think Im back at needing a house rental with a 2 car garage. Max budget is $1200. If you have trusted realtor/locator please let me know. Im getting really nervous with deadline approaching fast.
I saw the beaches though. Very nice. I saw LOTS fo Z/Gs. tried to say high but I guess my rental cobalt didnt due me justice. I got just a bunch of weird looks. Saw lots of bikes too. That was good too, except for every 5th rider has a hayabusa.
. Sorry I just dont like the way they ride and putting that fat tire in the rear just gives the upper hand to a vespa rider in the twisties.
Sorry for the rant. Any help appreciated. Thanks

black sedan- thanks those resources are great.
My start date got bumped and I was starting to panic. Luckily a buddy of mine agreed to rent me a house he just bought for 3 months. That will allow me to get to know the area and search much slower paced. Mandarin area? dont know if thats good but price was way to good to pass up and I dont believe he would set me up in a dump.
So I hope to meet some of fellow members later this month. Thanks again.
