Chevy Grand Prix of Atlanta

The American Le Mans comes to Road Atlanta TWICE in 2003! The Chevy Grand Prix of Atlanta will be a 2 hour and 45-minute AMLS race televised live on CBS-TV.

Support races will include SCCA Speed World Challenge -- GT and Touring -- plus Panoz GT Pro Series, and Star Mazda.

Don't miss the Hawaiian Tropic Model Search (prelims Saturday and finals on Sunday), or the Mazda Extreme Hot Import Car Show Sunday afternoon.

The Atlanta Journal-Consititution is sponsoring the AJC Autograph Party in the Paddock Saturday from 11:50 a.m. until 1 p.m. Every ALMS driver will be available for free autographs, sitting at tables in front of the transporters in the paddock.

And don't miss the AJC Open Pit Walk Sunday from 11 a.m. to Noon when fans will be invited into the pits, where the starting grid will be assembled and uniformed crew members available to answer questions about their incredible race cars.

I will definetly go to the Petite, but its a long drive from coastal NC for a sprint race. Sunday after the Petite, a bunch of us are going up to hit the Tail of the Dragon, then a 6 hour trek on I40 to the coast. We should have a great group for that, 996tt, 930, rx7, g35c, 350z, maybe a boxster or 2 as well. Please join if interested...
