Anyways, i was driving in my friends neighborhood minding my business and going the speed limit of 25, in my black g coupe. Well I have 20% and i pass a cop, i think ok no biggie, im going the speed limit, he's not going to bother popping a U, man was i wrong, i couldn't believe it but the guy popped a U and pulled me, asked me if i knew why he stopped me, i said something about missing a stop sign, but there wasn't any (basically trying to play stupid), it was saturday afternoon and it was a bit chilly but i rolled both windows down before he got out of the car, anyways he's like roll your window up about 7 inches...yup dreaded window tine ticket. Well the ticket is $50, but the courst fees are $120!!!! Now i know why it takes so long for real crimes to go to trial, they waste their time on court dates for window tint tickets. Anyways, just wondering if anyone knows a place i can possibly get the tint taken off. He was saying that i can just pay the fine if i want, but if i get it taken off, then i have to go to the hwy patrol station to get them to inspect it, get a form from them and take it to the court house. Now that part i have a question about is, if i do this, will i have to still pay the court fees? If i do i'm just thinking i'll pay the fine and chance it...i've had 20% tint for over 8 years on all my cars, never got pulled for anything (not even a speeding ticket, knock on wood), i've had cops compliment me on my z and the dual screens i had in it (dvd and navi). o well, guess they have those "quotas" to fill? So anyone who's been through this and know the specifics any help would be great. O yea, im in Charlotte, NC.....thanks

 

wow the cops really must suck over there i pass cops so many times n they see my tint i guess its cuz i juss play it kool i have 5% on the back and 15% on the sides

 

I got pulled over in my DD altima coupe for 35% tint

 

haha, i have BLACKout (limo tint) on mine and i never got pulled. (knock on wood)

man that sucks it wasnt a state trooper with the last name cook was it lol, but there is a good tint place by northlake mall on old Salisbury rd called auto expressions. He is a good guy and is not expensive at all and he may even work something out with you about taking the tint off and then putting it back on again after court lol

 

I got a window tint ticket in VA. I had to pay the fine, the court fees, and have the tint removed.
