Default Hurricane shutter on the highway....

Well there was a hurricane shutter on the highway and no way that i could have avoided it. so it dented my passenger rim and my tire is also flat.

the rim is a 3 piece....mind the dirtyness... haven't drove her and washed her for a month.

The worst part is... i've been driving a different car to school because i didnt want to put mileage on the car.. and THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I TOOK THE CAR OUT FOR A MONTH...

FIXABLE???

I'd figure to fix it.. it will be about 400~500...plus a new tire.. 200...OUCH...
so if you know a great rim repair shop that is... hopefully not that expensive around miami or miramar.. please list it!!!

Whoa! That sucks, man. How much does a new rim cost? If you think it's gonna be about 400-500 to fix (which I highly doubt), wouldn't it be easier or better to just get a new rim?

Hope things work out.

The rim is about 850 and the tire is another 200

so do you think repairing the rim would be much cheaper?

I had a set of Work VS-XXs several months back and hit a pothole. Dented the right front rim. It wasn't as bad as yours, but a reputable wheel repair shop here in Socal quoted me $75 to fix. I'm not an expert on rim repair, but I don't think it would cost $500 to fix. Good luck to you, brother.

Thanks man...

but have you tried any of the companies? I will call fixrim for their mobile service.. but their prices must be a PITA.

So does anyone might know why or have a clue as to why my i can switch gears without having to press down on the clutch? It wont even stall!!!...

HAHA... we never used plywood... we have those accordians but i think once something flies into it... you wont be able to open it up no more.

I always thought those plastic/urethane shutters were cool...cause you can see whats happening during the hurricane but still stay protected....and of course.. you'll have light

You mention its a 3 piece rim, maybe just buying a new barrel, as it looks like the spokes arent damaged. But thats just my guess, I dont know how much that would be. Good luck though!
