North Ga Mountain Run every last sunday of the month.

MEETING: Perimeter Mall, Dillards Parking Lot(If you would like us to call you before an exit so you can meet us on the highway PM me or dkmesa350z your number and exit)

TIME:10am August 31st(Sunday)

GUIDELINES:
We should stop at the gas station at the Chevron just after turning off of 400 to fill up and regroup.





1. An experienced driver familiar with the roads should lead and bring up the rear
2. The lead car is not responsible for setting the pace of the drive. You are under no obligation to maintain that speed.
3. Drive within your limits and your car's limits
4. Do not draw negative attention - stay in control in the turns, maintain a reasonable speed on the long straights, be courtesy to slower traffic, and NO illegal passing. Keep in mind there will be scenic overlooks that are great for regrouping, taking pictures, and allowing slower traffic to get ahead.
5. Avoid running bicyclists off the road
6. Be conscious of sport bikes and other cars behind/ passing you in the two lanes section

you guys should sign up for the track day, if we can get enough people it will only be about $125 each.

I am w/ Alex, if track day doesn't fall through I am game.

 

I want to go out to the track one of these days.. but for now the weekday events just dont work for me.. and weekends are way to expensive..

Well it looks like we might get a few extra people..

 

i would love to go to this but fortunately I will be **** drunk in Fort Walton Beach, FL that weekend.

Ha.. Well I grew up driving pretty fast in NW GA (Walker Co.) but I'm no track star so I may fall behind a little. Also my car is stock. But I'm guessing people won't be getting TOO crazy on public roads. I'm just glad I'll have my new tires by then because I see white on both rear Pilot Sports!

 

urban I'm trying to get my brakes so I can do this run. If not I'll be ready by set.

 

don't worry man there is always a good mix of drivers on these runs. Some of us like to push it a little more than others.

 

yes i still plan on being there. I will be on vacation time then anyways, nohing else to do and will be nice to ring the car out one good time before i leave for Florida that weekend.

And yeah this drive is a drive at your own comfort level.. Like jumpin said, some like to go a little quicker than others. I am usually always next to the last in the group.. right in front of.. Superman...lol...
