seeing this made me think of you swearing up and down that Toyota is out selling gm that is false....here is a report im done please before you take a persons side provide fact and be sure you know what your talking about. I provide fact for every debate...later.
I wanted to send this msg via PM but since I have no way of sending I'll just cut and paste here.
When reading a chart you have to take the time to understand what it says as data can be displayed in many ways. I'll give you a hand here.So I'm assuming your talking mostly about the chart at the bottom where they add up each manufacturer.
General Motors -44.7% 156,380 282,732
Toyota Mo Co -39.0% 132,802 217,730
Ok yes here the numbers are bigger. But do you understand what they mean? This is total sales for each brand for 2008 and 2009 month of march. Is this world wide?? How can that be b/c if you avg this out over 12 months they sell less then 3 million cars world wide instead of the 8+ million they normally report?? Hmm i'm guessing this chart is only for U.S. sales, especially if you read this in the article "U.S. auto industry's sales". I believe I said Toyota was the largest in the World not U.S.
Also you have to start thinking for 2009 GM is gonna get rid of a few brands. Hummer and Pontiac come to mind right now. So those numbers will drop. Also I don't see Scion on that chart for Toyota. So as you can see these numbers for US sales will change before the end of 2009.
