Hi John. Next Vegas trip should be SEMA. I've never been there, so SEMA week might be a good time to go.

Any of you guys know where I can find a used HR throttle body? Any shops got a spare engine laying around? I really only need to borrow one for a couple days, but I'd just buy it if I could.
Side note, I bought Amy's old cat's today Time for some custom test pipes

^_^ pictures ^_^
Day One: Florida-Mississippi
Dad and I taped up the cars the night before we left and we left our old house for our epic trip around 5am.
First rest stop about 4 hours into day one
The tape was holding up pretty good until it started raining Florida rain is definitely something I am not missing. Also Florida is one ginormous state to pass through! When we got to Jacksonville I thought we were almost done but turned out we had about another 5 hours of driving just to get to Alabama. Getting through Alabama was scary because all the drivers there suck! Everyone in that state had road rage and would cut us off when there was barely enough space for them to fit. One guy driving a red Impala would have smashed into my car if I didn't hit the brakes.
Day Two: Mississippi-Texas
Once we got to Texas the scenery started to change! Lots of mountains and once we passed San Antonio the speed limit became 80mph when we reached the twisties.
Day Three: Western Border of Texas-Las Vegas
We were about 30 minutes away from Vegas until we got to the Hoover Dam. They had security inspections right before the Hoover Dam that had us waiting a little over an hour and that was a real pain since we were tired from the drive and we were tired from all the sun and heat. Driving through Arizona was like driving through an oven. No matter how high we turned up the A/C it was just too friggin hot outside.
Vegas!!! I miss it already!

Wow John & Wes, great pics guys. Glad you got to Cali safely! That's an epic road trip for SURE. I've been to Alabama, Texas and Cali. Texas was really dry and the elevations go from one extreme to the next. Same thing pretty much with Cali. But Cali has ALOT of things to do along with a diverse ecology, but since the state is so long, the drive takes FOREVER - much like Florida. I love the mountains though. Hopefully I'll get to take a hiking and canoeing trip by next year with our family. I love the outdoors! I miss North Carolina - just don't miss the taxes.
And Antoine - I know how you feel. I've been to Camp Pendelton, Twenty-Nine Palms and Ft Bliss in Texas. They're all pretty much the same. Nothing but training, dirt and no showers for days. I think the longest I went without a real shower was a month in Okinawa in the northern mountains for Jungle Warfare/Terrorism Training. I was the only girl along with 20 select others from my unit. And we was NASTY when we got back to the barracks. lol You know that movie the Dirty Dozen? Something like that... but in the stinky sense. haha
