Default Install Remote Start?

I'm looking for someone in the Miami-Dade/Broward FL area that has experience in installing remote start for a manual car. I have a Clifford Matrix 50.5x Responder. Thanks.

The only thing to change is the need to use the clutch to start the car. is a simple change on under the clutch pedal. Just remember that you NEED to keep the car in neutral if you are going to use the remote start.

That's freaking dangerous. They might need you to sign that they are not liable if anything happens with your car, or if you hit somebody else's car.

I had a friend In NJ who installed it on a manual/stick/standard car, and he said he will never do it again. Be sure also that they install a switch which will disable the remote start when you bring it to a dealer or mechanic.

I had an SUV with a remote start. It is good, if you leave the air on summer time, or heater on winter time, and start it, or leave the head lights on at night, (the headlight turns off after 2 mins.) and start it from far, everything is lit up.

The secret to this also is putting the remote under your chin, and your body acts as an antenna, and you could start it further.

I won't advise it on a manual car, especially a Z with lots of torque. Your car will jump if left on a gear.

Yes, your car will jump if you leave it on gear... hoever follow these simple guidelines.
1. always leave the car in neutral
2. never leave the car in gear
3. always leave the car in neutral
4. never leave the car in gear
5. read guidelines many times...

And by the way, never ever ever, give the remote to anybody, specially a shop or dealer or whom ever that is NOT you.

I had it on one of my cars and I never had any issues... enjoy !

A properly installed remote start in a manual will not let you start it while its in gear.

Its a lot more complicated than just a switch to sense when the car is in gear and prevent it from turning over remotely (I thought that was the case before I got mine installed)

I have an Autopage RS1000 OLED remote start/alarm. You have to go through specific steps to prepare the car to be remote started before shutting it off. Usually those steps will ensure the car is out of gear when you exit.

Don't take it to a friend because they will hate you for doing this to them. It was about a three day install at my shop to have it done right and they've indicated they wont do them for Johnny off the street.
