Default *ATL* ingramstar01, yes he deserves his own thread

Dear members,

I wanted to write up about a certain member today that helped me out last night with several issues I was having with my car. Despite his low post count he was actually extremely knowledgeable about the Z and cars in general.

I cannot thank him enough for making my life easier and making me fall in love with the Z. I just purchased it last week and already wanted to trade it in when he helped me with the following below (mind you all I was going to do was come in for a serpentine belt swap):

-Readjusted the clutch-

This was the thing I hated the most. The clutch sat up WAY too high and the engagement point was so high up that first to second WOT was almost like a slipping clutch but now daily driving is soo much smoother and easier as well as engagement in all gears. Don't even want to know how much the stealership wanted to do this.

- Serpentine belts-

One of those easy things that can turn into a nightmare if you don't know what you're doing. He was happy to do the install for me and guided me along the whole way.

Stealership price for belt install: $190.00 (gwinnett place nissan)

-Cubby Hole-

My 03 cubby hole won't even open more less stay closed so he did some weird thing with a washer and now it stays closed! I will follow the DIY on how to fix the half way open thing later.

-Sway bar and end links-

The freakin' sway bars and endlinks weren't even attached!! He made the effort to take me out to Lowes in his phenomenal sounding Z and buy the required accessories to make things work. The car now handles like a dream with the hatchkis. Unfortunately, the previous owner used the stock bushings so it makes more noise than it should.

ingramstar01, Ben, has been very good to me. I couldn't thank him enough for all that he's done. Since i'm a broke college student I gave him 20.00 to buy himself some beers LOL. I'll hit him up again for intake spacers later.

Awesome and phenomenal member with a bad *** garage. Hit him up as he is a quiet knowledge box.

Other members to thank:

WTX350Z - For offering help as well if we couldn't resolve it
fatboy.yoshi - For posting a quick response to resolve the original problem
terrasmak - For offering help if we couldn't resolve it and suggesting beer
thekinn - For helping me find the DIY for the sway bars

Let me know when you're doing the intake spacers. I'd like to learn a few things too. I'm also in Gwinnett! Maybe we've seen each other around.

If you ever need an honest dealership to go to, I've had nothing but great things to say about the service at Regal Nissan in Roswell.

Glad you got all of your issues taken care of!

Thanks guys.

JTAbraham, yes I spoke to a guy from Roswell once about some issues he was genuinely friendly. Rare now and days. I will give them a try if I ever need anything from the dealers.

Voodoo, perhaps but there are so many Z's around lol. I have a red one with black motegis with chrome lip (dv5). My friggen Tanabes are loud so you can't miss me.

I will for sure hit you up when I get those spacers.

Happy to help man. It's nice to meet someone who's willing to learn how to work on their own car rather than just pay the dealer to do it .

Glad you finally got the car man! The last owner sounds like a complete retard but atleast you got everything fixed.
