January 18, 2009 JapTrix and H.P Logic held their first Dyno Day of the Year. This event has been in the making for some time, and after much covert dialogging a select few were chosen and the event was successfully brought to fruition.
Both JapTrix and H.P Logic have strong reputable standings with the performance community and have provided a haven for power hungry enthusiasts for more than a decade. Located in the West Palm Peach Area, the conjoined shops are high quality, high performance dealers/installers and are especially renowned for their tuning capacity.
The event Started at 9:30am and lasted until around 5:30pm. The focus was Nissan cars, in fact the Dyno was reserved exclusively for them. The majority of whom attended came via South Florida Z Car Club, then there were a few spectators: mainly Non-Nissan owning shop regulars, and of course Business Speed Magazine tagged along to take note of the happenings.
Over 20 cars queued up at the facilities to take advantage of the all wheel drive Dyno and both N/A and Force induced cars took turns abusing the rollers. The event was divided into categories for Naturally Aspirated (N/A) and Forced Induction motors and at the end of the evening, trophies courtesy of H.P Logic were awarded to those who placed at the top of their respective category.
Naturally Aspirated Motor Class: 1st Place
NAME: Daniel Caub
CAR: Nissan 350Z Nismo Edition
DYNO NUMBERS: 272 rwhp
Forced Induction Motor Class: 1st place
NAME: Mario Martinez
CAR: Nissan 350 Z
DYNO NUMBERS: 410 rwhp
All-in-all, things went well and both JapTrix and H.P Logic proved they could put on one hell of a show, even with such prohibitions. In our photos section we have provided a few pics of the event to snack on. We'll keep you updated on whats going on at these two performance giants and hopefully their next Dyno Day will be a little less... reserved.
Also, we'd like to give special thanks to Josh at Cafe Clematis for providing food and drinks for the event. Just goes to show, nothing puts life in proper perspective like good food and good people. Until next time, see you on the streets.
